Very responsive staff, and free parking if the lot is not full. Shower is the size of a phone booth and water goes everywhere. Some pillows lack pillowcases, so you're basically sharing a pillow with whoever was there the night before. However, seems clean. Curtains only block out the 24 hour sun.

Modern hotel. The design of the bathroom is unique. If you travel with friends, the bathroom might be a little awkward. The location is perfect to appreciate the city and its environs. There is a lot of free parking around the hotel. Directly across the street from the local pool.

With a toilet under the bed on one side and a shower behind the bed on the other side, the latter without a door, the layout of our room was a little strange. Also, this hotel was okay a little smaller than the icelandic hotel in Gilsstair, and the noninclusive breakfast was a slight downgrade from there. However, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, so we can't complain too much.

Overall, it's not a bad hotel. A pleasant building in a wonderful setting with breathtaking views of the mountains, fjord, and harbor from the room. The staff was pleasant, though not as welcoming and welcoming as the other six or so iceland hotels we stayed at during our trip. The only true negative aspect was that the cuisine was subpar. My salmon was overcooked and had a cauliflower base that was well, not to my taste.

The room was fine, we were assigned a senior room, and taking a shower caused most of the floor to get wet in the bathroom, which was a poor design. Breakfast was fine not great, but okay. The room was pleasant about the standard size of a hotel at this price point. Breakfast meals in the breakfast room were ok. Nothing special. Pleasant garden patio and cute indoor little play area for children. I hadn't seen anything like this in other hotels, see image below.
