A 4-person family room. It was clean and perfect. We thoroughly loved our stay here. Our children loved staying here. fully equipped kitchen. To travelers, I heartily suggest this place. A little bit off the main road, but the quietness and surroundings are well worth it.

The accommodations were excellent, and I didn't mind driving from the main road. We stayed two nights, and the proprietors are very friendly. From 1600 to 2200, visitors may utilize a kitchen. You don't want to spend so much money eating out so bring your own food to cook or prepare for the ring road trip the next day. Breakfast is delivered by 0700, and the host serves freshly prepared waffles each day. Fruits, cheese, cold cuts, juice, cereal, coffee, and tea are also available. We couldn't explore the nearby waterfall because the thick blanket of snow covered the trail, and we didn't want to sink into anything. I wouldn't think twice to make a reservation at this location if we ever visit iceland again, especially because it is close to the glacier hike and cave walk.

This was a fantastic place to stay for a few nights. Yes, it's a bit far off the main road, but it's worthwhile. It's tidy and comfortable, and the ratio of rooms to bathrooms is excellent, with a sink in the bedroom. The rooms are a decent size, and there is a kitchen equipped with everything you could need if you choose to cook your own rather than traveling a lot to the closest restaurant. The breakfast room is pleasant and bright, and a great spot to relax in the evenings. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options. The proprietor, Balder, makes delicious waffles. The nearby thundering waterfall is well worth the stroll. The guesthouse is close to many things to see and do.

After a day of exploring Diamond Beach and Jokulsarlon, we spent the night at Dalshofdi. I had a language obstacle because the other guests spoke limited English and I only spoke a little German and French. The owners spoke excellent English, and the owner of a waffles Sunday morning surprised me by engaging me and having a conversation while he was completing his obligation to prepare breakfast. On this visit, wow airlines shut down, requiring some visitors to call other airlines to make alternate reservations, and the female proprietor offered her assistance, which I thought was a thoughtful gesture. We had to share one bathroom with a few other rooms, and that was the one suggestion my daughter madeaboutconverting a closet in the hallway to another bathroom. We enjoyed the breakfast and discussion with the owners about their past with the neighborhood and property. A charming property that was quiet and well off the road was a plus. When you look downhill from Dalshofdi, youll see a red house on the right. Take the trail or highway over, and once there, turn left and youll see a bridge. We had a good time here. Although it is not directly off the ring road and the trip there can be challenging, it's well worth it. The guesthouse's 10-minute walk from a thunderous waterfall should be planned. There is a nice breakfast. The rooms are a good size, with sinks in them. Bathrooms are communal. One problem, during use, one family kept knocking on the door. There are two other restrooms that could have been opened if they had tried.
