Stella at the front desk went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The property has a serenity spa vibe to it. It has a geothermal pool and 2 hot tubs. There is also a quaint river beside it which we swam in as our cold plunge. The food at the restaurant is awesome. Breakfast buffet was really good. Highly recommend this place.

Great location, nice large room with a great view of the hillside steam vents and room very clean. Enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. Great dinner and breakfast at the restaurant on property. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Et rigtig hyggeligt hotel. Midt i de varme kilder. Måske et lidt slidt hotel, men med masser af charme lige ved siden af floden. Værelserne fine. Middagen på hotellet var absolut fremragende. Prøv hummersuppen. Eller lam i lakrids. Vi nød det og kommer gerne igen.

What a lovely place to stay! The hotel is situated right above the river, with hills behind for a beautiful view. There is geothermal activity all around the property, including a vent right on the property where they will cook you an egg if you want! Two hot tubs, a little pool and a sauna complete the experience. Rooms were clean and comfortable. To be honest, it's where we slept to prepare for the next day's adventure. A tasty restaurant on site with a delicious breakfast every morning. There's a trail you can walk along the river or climb the behind the property to take in the town, the valley and the other geothermal activity. Also a short walk to the friendly town. We really enjoyed our stay (despite the vague sulfur smell -hey! it's on a volcano! what do you expect?) and would happily return again. Thank you so so much!!! It was a great stay!

Favorite hotel we stayed at in Iceland!! It is conveniently located along the golden circle in a geothermal field next to a small river. We were upgraded to a river view (which I would definitely book next time), spent copious amounts of time in the hot tubs, and even saw the northern lights!! The included breakfast was delicious, room was spacious and comfortable and clean. Easy parking out front. Truly picturesque — had such a wonderful time at this hotel and hope to be back in the future!

This hotel was incredible. The restaurant was delicious and a lot of the food is cooked in their Geothermal oven. We had a beautiful room that overlooked the river. Beds were comfy and we loved the hot tub. The only thing to note, is there is a strong sulfur smell in the rooms, but it didn’t bother us that much. After a while you get used to it .

Lovely hotel and very friendly & helpful staff . The area is on hot thermal springs so there is a sulphur smell sometimes, it’s Iceland . We had yellow weather warnings conditions during our stay . The reception staff helped with road information for us . The breakfast & food menu in restaurant was very enjoyable . You can walk into town by road or pathway .
