A wonderful space to relax and appreciate Grimsey xx fab coffee and we had the whole house to ourselves. Anne-Marie was kind enough to let us stay until the ferry left at 4pm

This unique property is close to the ferry, no car needed. Puffins are everywhere in June and July! Lovely hikes. There is a complete kitchen and nice sitting area. There is a small store with limited hours and a resetaurant very close to the property. Rooms are very cozy.

The stairs are a little challenging for seniors. Can use more hooks for hanging towels and coats. Kitchen facilities are useful. Sitting room is comfortable.

My room was very cozy and comfortable. I opened my window at night and it was so nice to hear nothing but the birds singing. The guest house is very well maintained and I enjoyed talking with Anna Marie and her mother. I would like to thank Anna Marie for her help in getting back my passport which I had left in my room. I can never re-pay her for that. I hope to visit Grimsey again in the not too distant future. Thank you.

I had a nice stay at Guesthouse Gullsól. Small but cosy and very clean room. I was afraid of the shared bathroom, but it worked well, no stress at all. A good place to stay one or two nights.

We were lucky enough to have this place all to ourselves because we were early in the season. The owner is lovely and very accommodating. She runs the tiny cafe and store downstairs, so she is easy to access if needed. She clearly cares about this property and keeps it clean and updates things as needed (the new couches were lovely!). There are only a few options for stays on Grimsey Island, but this one is wonderful!

I went to grisly island to cross over the arctic circle and to see puffins. I did both. There are many puffins to see. I ended up staying at a quaint guesthouse named gulls, which was ideal. Grisly is inhabited by less than 100 people, so the island is primarily nature because nature intended it to be simple and beautiful, as can be said about gulls. I was welcomed by one of the owners anna maria and her daughter lily. They are without a doubt the nicest people I have ever met. There are 6 small guest rooms. Five are twin beds and the size of a dorm room for one, there are one room with two twin beds and another downstairs with a full sized bed. There is a shared kitchen, living space, and bathroom. The bathroom and five bedrooms are located up a fairly steep set of stairs and through a trap door. Its small and modest, yes but perfect for sleeping. You will want to spend all of your time outside, watching the birds, the northern lights, or the midnight sun. The island is approximately three square miles. You will see puffins, arctic terns, guillemots, gulls, and others. The arctic circle is just past the airport. Take the road to the left to the

All the things are very good and tidy in this place. The bed was comfortable. There are some nice Northern lights right next to the harbour.

After climbing the globe in the Arctic Circle, we paused at this tiny location while we were waiting for the ferry to depart this disgusting island. It was raining, and we were happy to have a nice place to unwind and dry off before boarding the ship. While sitting in the dining area near the entryway, I was able to get a cup of coffee and use the bathroom. There is also a small souvenir shop inside that sells a variety of arctic circle trinkets as well as locally made items. The service was excellent. Since it is cheaper than the ship, I would advise buying the certificate from this location.

Located at the base of the guesthouse, this small shop is one, perhaps the only, place on the island to buy souvenirs. With a large variety of items to purchase, they most certainly appeared to be handmade by the people who inhabit the island. Beautiful quality wool goods, shirts and sweatshirts. Other items include hats and socks. The socks I purchased were actually made by the shopkeeper's grandmother. I love that! Rumor has it that the shop is open when visitors need to stop in. The shopkeeper was extremely kind and friendly, and she spoke excellent English. A wonderful experience!.

The hotel has a convenient location, right next to the island restaurant. The hotel is close to the island restaurants. The little bathroom is excellent and not a problem. The tiny little guesthouse is just off the ferry terminal and is less than a five-minute walk from the adorable little airport. Annamarie is a lovely hostess. She also runs the charming gift shop next to the guesthouse and appears to handle the mail for the island. The kitchen is the smallest and has all the basics you could need. A sizable refrigerator is present. A small room with two nice and comfortable recliners, a second seating area, and a bathroom that I didn't try is attached to the kitchen. The wifi is stable and easy. The beds are cozy and tidy, and the room is fairly tiny and tidy. My first-floor room may have been room 1, but my room is on the first floor. Convenient! The island restaurant is right on the doorstep of the guesthouse. Annamarie made a sincere request to drive me to a portion of the island that I didn't see the previous day.
