My friend and i had the best time. We stayed in unit 8 down stairs. Had a private bathroom. Breakfast both days was delightful. Overall, i wish every place that i have and will stay was as great as this.

The hostess was the best of our two weeks in Iceland, and we had the best night's sleep there too. She was helpful and funny and seemed to enjoy spending time chatting with us. The building is old, but well maintained, nevertheless there were a couple of quirks, like how the room lock worked. Breakfast was good.

This was a very lovely guesthouse. I booked only a few days before arriving so I had some issues with arriving and I was not able to access my room. But besides that everything was very nice, it's in a good location close to food. I booked the room with the private bathroom and my room was very clean. They provide towels and a hair dried which was convenient. The host is very nice would highly recommend a stay here, and will certainly be coming back on my next trip to Vik!!! :)

Nice stay, host very helpful. One of the first house of Vik arriving from Selfoss. Near the road 1, but the rooms were on the other side and it was not a problem.

The owner found us and our family staying in a different place a guesthouse to spend the next night during the stormy day because the guesthouse was completely booked. Thank you again for your help and hospitality! Black crust pizzeria is also a 5-minute walk away, it has really good pizza with a black crust. The room was tidy and as described, with two double beds and a spare mattress for our young child. Breakfast was much more than we expected, and the tiny pancakes were our kids and my favorite. I really appreciate it.

On our way back to Reykjavik, we were stuck in via. The roads were closed due to the bad weather. The only place we needed to go to was a few hotels. Normally, there were no free rooms available, but an employee was away so we could use his room. The staff was very friendly and really tried their best to help us.

The only thing missing was some sky! Although not modernized, this old house has been kept up well, and some spots have wear on them. But everything was clean, the water was hot, and the bed was comfy.

I wouldn't hesitate to visit this hotel again! Although the house is not particularly new and upscale, the accommodations are spotless and equipped with everything you require! The hosts are extremely nice and accommodating, and the bathrooms have just been renovated! For such a low cost, I had no doubt that I had higher expectations, but it has a wonderful position and offers everything you need for a restful stay! On our journey here, we read the unfavorable reviews of this hotel, and we were both pleasantly surprised that those were completely out of line with our expectations. The next time I visit via, I'll most definitely be back.

La habitación era amplia y tenía una pila, pero el baño era compartido, ya lo sabíamos. No tuvimos problema con el baño compartido. La cama blanda como en el resto de Islandia, es algo cultural. La señora que tenía que hacer el check in se retrasó y nos juntamos allí 5 parejas esperando en la puerta.
