A rustic town on the northwestern tip of the ice sheet, Raufarhofn. With its unfavorably rugged, almost weather-beaten exterior, the nest shares a bit of that rugged rustic charm, but it also has a warm, spotless, cosy interior with warm, welcoming hosts. We chose a twin room and two comfortable single rooms on the second-floor when we stayed here. There were three other rooms on the floor with two showers, a well-equipped kitchen area, a small seating area in the kitchen, and a separate lounge and dining area. After a long drive, having a kitchen-style self-catering choice with the kitchen was key because Raufarhofn is a small town and has few dining options. If you're in the north, this is a good choice.

Despite being a throwback to the arctic, this evening was enjoyable, and the accommodations here were very nice. We reserved a two-person and a three-person room for our family of five, and we had the entire ground floor to ourselves. They weren't fully booked because they hadn't yet begun the season, I believe. We walked from the property to the arctic, where it was pleasant and scenic, except for being hit by the polar terns. The breakfast in the common space on the floor we were occupying, and the wifi worked well. I had no trouble making supper and breakfast, despite the fact that it had already begun to raining. The beds were extremely comfy, and everyone had a great night's sleep. Recommended!.

A good and affordable guesthouse in a remote city with a very friendly receptionist. a large sitting room and well equipped kitchen. Nevertheless, be careful when traveling in the evenings because you will be locked out.
