Lovely place to stay! Quiet and quaint. The host was so kind and welcoming. Perfect place to wind down after a long day of exploring Iceland. Great location, right by Snaps bistro where you can have a fantastic meal!

I loved this place! The owner is very sweet and accommodating. We checked in early and we were able to relax with coffee while our room was being finished up. The hotel is in a great location and the black out curtains are a huge plus!

Gudrun and Fergus own this guesthouse. Very nice. The have shared bathroom ( water is pumped through the by the city from the geothermal pools under the ground so has a sulfur smell), shared kitchen and 2 shared meeting rooms. All very clean. Centrally located to downtown Reykjavik. We are practically the only ones there so we got separate rooms! Their kitty Pumpkin is sweet snd wanders around.

I spent three nights here for work. While in the city, the guesthouse is in a quiet area, and is accessible by bus and taxi. The room I had was nice and cozy. The bathroom is shared. It wasn't difficult to share it since it was just across the corridor from my room. The hosts looked welcoming and helpful.

This guesthouse is a hidden gem! Fantastic location serene neighborhood yet close to excellent eateries and shops. The bus stop, the waterfront, and the city center are all within a fiveminute walk. The house and bedroom are kept immaculately clean and neat, after being cleaned for a period of four days. The spacious room with two twin beds, a dresser, a wardrobe, and a chair is spacious and has comfortable mattresses and bedding, towels and washcloths. The living room on the first floor offers plenty of seating, sofas and chairs, and bookshelves with an amazing selection of books. The kitchen includes a large kitchen table and chairs and is stocked with plates, glasses, bowls, utensils, a small refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, stovetop, coffee maker, and coffee, tea. Two restrooms are available, one on the first floor with a toilet, sink, and bathtub, and the second floor with a shower, toilet, and sink. Because this was my first booking with airing, I wasnt sure what to anticipate. But if your travels take you to Reykjavik, I heartily recommend the old bicycle shop. The owners were very responsive and provided excellent suggestions for things to do.

We reserved via air bob. First of all, the setting is fantastic. Off the main street of Sklavoroustigur, right below the cathedral. The sights, restaurants, and stores are accessible on foot. Reykavik is a small, convenient city to get around. This is a guesthouse with many rooms and 1 shared bathroom upstairs and one downstairs. I expected it to be more pleasant with a bike theme. There were none. There is a sitting area upstairs near our room with many books. Our room was very little. There was nowhere to put our small luggage. We had to walk over them to get around the bed. It was a very comfortable queen-size bed. That was a plus. The bathroom was perfectly adequate. The downstairs kitchen shared kitchen had filthy dishes in the sink, no coffee as promised, and no clean dishes. The two days we remained, we never saw the owners. I also felt that there were people arriving and going often. When we arrived, some were leaving. The next day some were leaving as others arrived, and the last day we left, some were coming. In a traditional hotel, this may be sufficient. We did not feel unsafe with the small quarters and shared bath. My room was locked, and I never felt unsafe. Before checking, the proprietor did get in touch with us promptly.

I will stay here again when I return. The location is also great, just 5 minutes walking distance from Hallgrimskirkja Church which is ideal for charter buses or to visit, stores, and restaurants. Beautiful guest house, very clean and friendly. I visited on my own and it was a welcoming place that felt very safe and beautifully furnished. Both rooms were very nice, clean and comfy, with good, clean towels and sheets. The single room is upstairs with a view of the street, the double room is on the bottom floor with small high windows to the street level. Both rooms had sinks and separate chairs to sit in. The communal bathrooms were clean, two of which had showers and one had a bath. When I met the owners, they were very friendly and had excellent recommendations for places to visit and good travel information on how to catch the bus. The check-in process was very simple and well received instructions. A very pleasant place to stay.

I have stayed in Iceland twice in the last four years and have been to Oskar twice each. This hotel is close to the citys busy main thoroughfare and is also handy to the main bus station in just minutes. The hosts are always attentive, the rooms and shared bathrooms are clean, and coffee and tea are available in the kitchen. This hotel is cozy, secure, peaceful, and appealing. I'm looking for a place to stay in the city.

A lovely place to stay, close to centre, loads of character and really nice communal spaces, kitchen and living rooms, bedroom was nice, bit noisy as on the street and walls were very thin, but it’s an older house.

My stay was clean and comfortable. My room was quite small and lacking room to place luggage. Kitchen and social area was very nice and homey.

Greit nok rom. Altfor dårlig kapasitet på toalett /dusj. Katt som "lusket" rundt i felles lokalet ( avføring på teppet)

Beautiful property in an excellent location. The house was beautiful, warm and clean. No complaints other than a pesky sticking door on my room which was noisy to open
