The president hotel is the most telling comment a traveler can make about it. In fact, the address also uses the phrase behind the pump to direct the visitor looking for it. And when I asked the petrol pump staff, they responded that it was somewhere in that building but it is now probably a guesthouse, not a hotel. I thankfully found that the hotel 12945 President was not closed. But half of the neon lights on it's signage were broken. When I entered, the receptionist, who was sitting in a dingy plastic chair, spoke warmly and promptly to me that if you want dinner, order now because we will fetch it from another place. I went up to my room and was pleasantly surprised when I entered. The apartment was actually tidy, charming, and very liveable. If I appear incredulous that I had chosen the wrong hotel I did not mean to mean that the aloo paratha was very hot, tasty, and not oily at all it was rather good. Breakfast the next morning was a different affair. Professionalism seemed to have only been demonstrated by the cooks' kids going to school in the kitchen so while you had breakfast, you could suddenly see the cook, his wife, and the boy who was serving you, engaged in sending two very small children off to school. We had an expo in Mahatma Mandi this month from October to October. We choose to stay at the President for 5 days. We had booked 3 rooms at this hotel for business participation in a expo. The rooms are well-kept and the size is good. There is no kitchen, so for dinner we rely entirely on outside food. In terms of service, it's good, prompt and cooperative in every way.
