Sunnyvale is a homestay, not a hotel. So set your expectations accordingly. The host is a kind and accommodating person. We reached out to him to address our arduous travel questions, which weren't answered online, before our visit, and he patiently answered them. Sunnyvale's rooms are a multistory bungalow with several individual rooms on the second floor. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and well-kept. Everything required, including water, geyser, ac, and, most significantly, wifi, is met. Even the common kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave, induction, and water purifier. Compared to other commercial lodgings, parents with kids will find these amenities helpful. The property is a 10-minute stroll from Aberdeen bazaar, where you can find excellent restaurants and shops. There are also a couple of restaurants that serve food to the property. Overall, I would suggest Sunnyvale Homestay because it gives you the basics on a tight budget.

We suggest this hotel to anyone looking to enjoy a good time in Port Blair. This residence is near a market and a short distance to some excellent eateries. Our room was very clean, spacious, quiet, and we slept well there. Breakfast is included in the room rate. The owner speaks perfect English, is very friendly and knowledgeable, and is always willing to give information about activities or excursions to do around. He helped us book another homestay when we wanted to remain longer in Port Blair and his homestay was full and even took the time to drive there with us. The helper hassan is discreet, efficient, and very polite.

The place advertised it as a homestay, but there was no washing machine for us. The owner charged us more than 250 to wash only 10 pieces of clothing. A place that advertises itself as a homestay should have at least a washing machine for guests to use. Ive traveled to many countries, and I primarily stay in homestays. Every single one Ive visited had a washing machine. The proprietor charges so much for room rental, but doesn't even provide a facility for washing. You must wash clothes regularly in a hot and humid place like adamant. Very disappointing experience. Also, wifi wasn't working for the entire three days we stayed there. The only good thing about the location was big rooms. Otherwise, poor stay. No washing machine, rude owner, no wifi.

This is a pleasant stay, I will come back to this place again. Our family of 3 had a fantastic stay in October and the room was very tidy and the facilities were so basic. The owner, Nadir Usain, was so kind and helpful during all the trips.
