I booked for 6 nights but after just one night I booked 9 more. I had already been to 5 cities in India and was tired so just wanted to unwind. I loved this guesthouse. It's less than 5 minutes walk to the beach. My room had a fridge which was great. The host Manuel was really accommodating and helped me book my taxi to the airport. It's really peaceful but just down the lane you'll find restaurants and shops. You can eat at the beach shacks but obviously that costs a bit more as you're on the beach. I felt really safe here. I'm already planning to go back next year. Some of the reviews are complete nonsense complaining it's so far from the main road. It's just over a minute's walk - think of it as a slightly longer than normal garden path. Thank you Romaldo Guesthouse.

Hier habe ich sehr gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Die Unterkunft liegt genau zwischen Strand und Shoppingmeile. Der Hausherr ist super cool drauf und steht einem bei allem zur Seite. Positiv ist der eigene Eingang ins Zimmer. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Romaldo and his wife are lovely people and have the perfect location for their guest house. It’s a short walk to the most beautiful beach in north Goa. The room was perfect, spacious and clean with a huge bathroom. Strong WiFi as well. We ended up staying for a week because it wasn’t just so perfect here. Highly recommend staying at Romaldo Guest House.

Just had a great stay in Romaldos. The owner Manuel met me at the taxi and showed me to the guesthouse whilst carrying my bag. The room was spotless, spacious, the air con looked brand new and the room had a fridge!!! - so handy for keeping water and snacks cool. The area is so peaceful - no noisy clubs or bars nearby. It's 139 steps from the guesthouse to the beach! - I had to count them as I couldn't believe how close it was. It takes about 30 seconds to get there. It's also about a 2 or 3 minutes walk to the nearest main road which has got the restaurants/bars/shops etc on which is ideal. The owner Manuel was really helpful. The hotel I was moving on to next in south goa had doubled booked me and subsequently cancelled my booking at the last minute. Manuel let me use his phone for about an hour whilst I contacted the agents to arrange another hotel. He also helped arrange transport to get me to south goa. Had a great stay and would not hesitate to return. Excellent place and staff, thank you very much.

It was grt fun. This was the first time that I had gone outside with my wife and 11 month old baby. We stayed for 4 night.we checked in at nearly 11 pm, owner of the guest personally took our bags and dropped us till the room.its really very good to have a owner like this nature.room was good , we have faced not even a single problem.i personally fill if you want to spend some good time in goa with your family than this is one of the most safest and under your budget guest house. And the best part you have market as well as beach just 5 minutes away. So u can have grt time with your family for evening walk.

I immediately liked the walls' happy colors and floor's shiny, clean tiles. The staff was very helpful and friendly, offering timely room service, assistance with cabs, and advice on bargaining prices. The hot water was dependable, and everything was within walking distance. On occasion, the toilet needed water in the tank, which was simply accomplished with a plumbing-attachment, so not a big deal. I recommend going in February, when the tourist season subsides and prices at all hotels and restaurants resume back to normal.

If you're planning on Goa, stay here. Manuel and his family are unbelievable and really do go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable and are happy to recommend things to do/see, as well as offering the cheapest rates around for scooters. A 30 second walk to Calangute beach, you couldn't be any closer unless you were actually on the beach itself. I'll won't look anywhere else when I return to Goa and look forward to seeing Manuel and his family again as they were an absolute pleasure.

Owners are very helpful and nice!! Loved the room, was massive, clean and even had a bar fridge! Literally a 1 minute walk to the beach, and couple of minutes to the main road. Easy walking distance to Baga too! Location is hard to find (look for a small sign), but other than that hassle it was great!
