A beautiful resort located just four hours from Bangalore, The Serai left us thoroughly impressed with its stunning gardens and remarkable architecture, showcasing a perfect blend of stone and wood. Our courtyard room offered a spectacular view of the Nilgiris from its deck, adding to the serene ambiance. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, with special mentions to Rateesh, Navas, and Arun for their outstanding service. For those seeking a quick, quiet, and serene getaway, The Serai is an ideal choice. While the resort offers a variety of activities, we found that the jungle safari didn't quite measure up to others we have experienced around the world. However, the overall experience at The Serai more than made up for it. Thank you folks at The Serai, for making it a memorable 2 night stay for us!

Bandipur was excellent though the approach road can be improved - but that is the matter for the state. My brother's AC conked off and it took some time to respond to it. But overall a great place just like Serai KAbini river. We were lucky to see a tiger on the safari.

It is easy to get lost here (literally and figuratively) as you're in middle of the great wilderness with pretty poor cellular connectivity, hence always better to carry a book. (A loaded iPad if you don't read.) The above two applies only if you don't walk and explore the forest you choose to be in. Great place for families coz kids have more than enough area to run around and explore. Spacious rooms (and bathrooms) mean they can continue running around indoor as well. Pros: Location. This is quite a dichotomy coz there's actually nothing to do in or around the property other than to immerse in the forest. Cons: If you are like me, you would have wished for the restaurant rates to be a bit more tame. Or for a Zomato/Swiggy delivery.

The property is amazing. The cottages are huge and beautiful. Staff is very polite and helpful. Food is great. Sometime you can see some deers from your balcony. Very big property. I would definitely recommend this property.

It was 2days stay with the Kid , staff are very friendly and resort is well maintained. Front Office : Office Manager Nixon was very helpful . Since we were the only booking other than a large group that has booked rest of resort , he arranged for safari in an open jeep safari just for us. Restaurant: Staff Madesh and NagShetty were very accommodative with the kid , provided us with the items that were not on the menu but asked by the kid.

We stayed at the Log hut for 1 night on 31st May. The room was pretty run down and the bathroom had a strange smell throughout our stay. We mainly stayed in Bandipur for the safaris and the 2 safaris we went on, we saw only elephants. No movement of tigers unfortunately. Ofcourse it’s all luck. The bf spread was ok. I would’ve typically given the room 2 stars but gave 1 extra star for the service provided. The staff were prompt if we asked anything. Service at restaurant was also really good.

Like: Great infinity pool. Dislike: they begrudged me packing up (taking home) an empty (small) glass cookie jar which I had refilled with almonds for my 9yr old to eat on the 5 hour drive back home - they stopped me post checkout & confiscated said amenity - beyond petty when considered in context of the 2 courtyard rooms costing rs.18-24k each I had booked 🙄

All guests including children above age 6 are required to present the RT PCR test report for activities at the Safari at the boarding point.
Guests and accompanying drivers visiting the property are required to show a valid RT-PCR negative test report with sample taken not more than 72 hours prior to check-in time, as per instructed by the District Administration. Guests need present the RT-PCR negative report upon demand at the resort, prior to check-in.

It is mandatory to submit a copy of these documents for inspection prior to or at the time of check in. Guests failing to produce these reports by the time of check-in will not be allowed to check-in or access the resort, and there will be no refund given for any room nights booked and paid for by the guests.
The forest gate will be close from 8 pm to 6 am. Traveler will need to cross the gate by 8 pm to reach the property.
