We needed a place to stay for three nights close to Castle Guiliano. Our local contacts recommended Monte la Public and booked us there. The place is lovely, and the local animals are very friendly house dogs to lots of cute litters of black Vietnamese. Pigs running free in the park and geese, goat and horses. We had dinner there the first night, tasty food sitting alone in a large friendly dining hall, more cooks and server than us. Great service and attention. We also had three breakfasts there, delicious spreads all three mornings. However, we were especially impressed by how management recognized our preferences and subtly changed the breakfast table every morning to fit our tastes. Among the positive points, the friendly and attentive service provided to us was the main reason I wanted to post this recommendation.

It is without a doubt something I suggest. Despite having a few imperfections, this location highly recommends a visit. It is located in the heart of a lovely section of Roman countryside with lots of enjoyable walking around. The entrance road is in poor condition, but we were able to drive it several times in a standard car with no real problems. It is an agritourismo resort with lots of animals roaming free, making you feel closer to nature. We had a rustic style room that was clean and comfortable with a fantastic view. Expect a resort in a chimneystyle, but the spa room is just that, a spacious room with a jacuzzi bath, a wardrobe sauna, and a wonderful shower. It's a lovely, calm, and private room with herbal teas etc, and a space to unwind. If arranged in advance, you can also get a good massage at a reasonable price. Having said that, the two most compelling reasons to go are the spectacular evening meals prepared with local products and recipes, and the welcoming hospitality of our hosts, Pier and Giacchino. Despite the fact that we are nonnatives and do not speak a foreign language, they made us feel completely welcome and patiently took the time to plan what we needed and explain what we did not understand.

This agriturismo is perfect if you want to get away from the city and enjoy some tranquility. You should stay away from the bustle of a city because it is in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by animals, and be careful not to encounter boars when opening the door. The food was excellent, especially homemade chocolate cakes. The owner is incredibly cordial and helpful. The rooms are fairly basic, but a little improvement would be nice. For instance, the bathroom was really old and not useful. It could also have been cleaned a little bit more thorough.

A very remote place in the middle of nowhere which we normally enjoy very much, but this time we left immediately. The last part of the road is terrible, only by jeep or 4 we can try it, but the description doesn't warn you about this. Our car was damaged on the side and front. The owners were not there and we found a man backward who handed us the keys. The room is beautiful and very large, outside there are many wild animals, some boars with little ones this time, poo on the veranda of the be and around the house. We planned to go out at night, but didn't want to make the road by car more than necessary, and walking was unsafe due to wild boars. All in all, it made us decide to leave immediately without waiting for the owner. If they fix the road, be present to welcome guests and clean poo, at least on the patio, it would be a great wild experience, but for us it definitely was a bad experience ah, mobile phones don't have range vodafone for sure.

The owner, gioacchino pier, treated us like royalty and gave us the most delicious food and drink. We also went sightseeing in Rome for the day.
