About Baglio Oneto dei Principi di San Lorenzo

The Baglio Oneto dei Principi di San Lorenzo, a stunning 5-star resort, originates from a grand 18th-century noble residence in Marsala. Perched on a hill just 8 km from Marsala city and a sandy beach, it commands breathtaking views of the sea, the Egadi Islands, the Stagnone Nature Reserve, Mount Erice, and Sicily's western tip. Managed by descendants of the Oneto family, this luxurious boutique hotel offers guests a unique, attentive welcome, embodying what the owners call the noble art of hospitality. It's an ideal destination for those seeking a first-class culinary experience, thanks to the La Calandra restaurant and the historic aging cellar for wine and extra virgin olive oil tastings. The term baglio, meaning fortified house in Arabic, reflects the property's history. Founded in the 18th century for producing wine, oil, and fresh produce, Baglio Oneto maintains this tradition, producing eight varieties of wine, including the renowned Marsala DOC, and extra virgin olive oil. The aromatic herbs grown on-site infuse dishes with the authentic flavors of Sicilian tradition. Today, the resort features 49 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, and a panoramic swimming pool overlooking the sea and islands. Guests are personally escorted to their accommodations, which range from Superior Rooms with countryside views to Deluxe Rooms with sea views, Junior Suites with vineyard or sea views and private lounges, and the historic Tower. Each room is elegantly appointed with traditional Sicilian materials (wood, wrought iron, and ceramics) and equipped with modern amenities, including Samsung Smart TVs and Dorelan memory foam mattresses. Free Wi-Fi, parking, bikes, and e-car charging are also available.
