We had a great time in Italy, especially for the breakfast, and the almond cake. Stefano, who also works at this place, showed us the vineyards and the entire winemaking process, and Florence and Stefano were very kind and helpful.

Cottimellino is on the way to Buonconvento, down the hill from Montelcino. The proprietors are incredibly hospitable and kind people. A number of wineries with tasting rooms are close by, but the owner offers the finest wines. The brunello is of top quality for a very fair cost, and we understand that the owner only sells his wines, so if we remained longer we would try his other wines. Three people in our rooms were extremely cozy. Tall folks were accommodated in the excellent shower. To get breakfast, please make a reservation, and it is excellent. Outside of the building, there are tables and chairs where you can relax, take in the scenery, and sip wine. Cottimellino has some recommendations.
