Last week, my husband and two children ages 10, and 13, went on a fabulous truffle hunt at the Camas. Stella the truffle hound was gorgeous and it was fascinating to observe her in close relationship with her wonderful handler. They were able to locate a mountain of truffles and drove us on a lovely stroll through the woods and breathtaking countryside surrounding the Camas. An unforgettable encounter. Although we weren't actually staying at the castle, Lucia, who was enchanting and welcoming, showed us around it. Would like to visit again someday!.

It truly should be less costly than more. I endorse staying in this hotel, which is a truly special experience. History is everywhere, in the structure, furnishings, frames, and objects. We stayed three nights in summer and loved dining in the courtyard. The cost is reasonable, the staff is friendly and efficient, and the food was excellent. Our suite ducal Elisabeth Gonzaga was lovely, but I strongly advise against choosing this room in the heat of summer. It is right above the kitchen, the floor gets warm, faces the courtyard and is loud until late at night, plus there is a window directly on the stairs to breakfast, making it noisy in the morning.

My wife and I stayed at the castle for three nights. The atmosphere is pleasant. The views are breathtaking. The food is superb. The owner and his team go above and beyond for you! They set up a cooking class, a personalized guided tour of wine tasting, horseback riding, truffle hunting, and most importantly, a day at the pool with a catered picnic lunch of delicious local wine, homemade cheese, pasta salad, and baked bread. It was the most restful and peaceful time of our entire two-week trip to Italy. The staff is specialized in hospitality, kindness, and concern for your needs. Due to the roads, the trip to the castle was a little difficult, but once you got used to it, it was really very easy. This is a first-rate experience that we strongly endorse!.

The staff is very kind and helpful. After enjoying a delicious Veal packed meal the first night in the castle and the gombo the next night near the hotel. The place is really magical and there are stunning views as you walk around and around the hotel and the walking trails below. The rooms are also very modern and comfortable.

While traveling in Europe on a longer journey, I got to know my daughters' family, which included two adults and two teen girls, at the Castillo di Petro. My apartment was the imperial delle trasparenze, which included a large sitting area, king-sized bedroom, glass-walled bath area with shower, standard amenities, and a jacuzzi. The bedroom had a private terrace as well. The view out over the hills was breathtaking! We ate there seven nights because the outdoor restaurant was so good. Paolo, the server, made every effort to fulfill our needs. Gumbo, assist, and Peru are all in the center of the hotel. Together with a guide and his dog, we went truffle hunting and came to the hotel with a sizable number of truffles, which were provided to us at a special dinner that night. I could go on, but let me leave some of the other important details to discover.
