I think this is probably a typical hotel for the countryside, small village. We went there as part of a wedding party and the rooms and the hotel as a whole were not a hotel we would choose but they were able to accommodate a large group of us. The rooms were smaller and had very small baths and showers. My husband is tall so the shower was comical for him. Breakfast is provided and it is complimentary. The staff was nice and handled the cottage with courtesy. The grounds were very nice and our room had a beautiful view. This is probably one of the better hotels in Montepulciano.

I would definitely stay again, but not at a rack rate. This is our third visit here. It's a little walk, but easy parking. I like the pool and spa, and the AC and wifi both functioned well. The price is expensive, but we booked in the last minute when the price was cheaper when I originally looked, it was too expensive for me. The breakfast is decent.

The spa, which is the true star of this hotel, is it's wonderful atmosphere and you can get access to it for free while you remain. Although more expensive than our house in the uk, the treatments are incredibly pricey! Which is unfortunate. If prices were reduced, they would make more money. We reserved an annex and thankfully were permitted to remain in the main building. During the reservation, my husband skipped the tiny print. Although it was dark in our apartment because it had all of the standard conveniences, our room was clean. Since the major window only reached below the waist height, it was dark in our apartment. We had to move the bags closer to the window in the morning to locate anything in our luggage. The light issue we encountered was pretty depressing. Also, we assumed that it had been disabled because the air conditioning didn't function, as had been noted in other reviews, and our toilet was broken and kept refilling. However, neither the spa nor the outdoor pool are outstanding. Although the location is near to the city and has free parking on-site, I question where people park when it is busy. The spa's no children policy was excellent. Although it is common throughout Italy, breakfast was fairly subpar, and they eat the typical fare.
