This hotel is surrounded by the splendid Tuscan countryside. San Gimignano rises on a hill (334 m high) dominating the Elsa Valley with its towers. The architecture of the city was influenced by Pisa, Siena and Florence. 14th-century paintings from the Sienese School are displayed, as well as 15th-century paintings from the Florentine School. San Gimignano's various restaurants, bars, pubs, shopping venues and the bus station are approximately 10 minutes from the hotel by car. The nearest beaches on the Mediterranean are some 70 km or one hour's drive away from the establishment. Extensive gardens surround the farmhouses where guests may relax or read a book. The farm has rooms, and families and groups of friends will appreciate the home-cooked, authentic Tuscan dishes. Dinner is served every evening in the barn or under the stars on the terrace, where a genuine feast of flavours can be had in the company of the other guests who end the day toasting and sharing their travel stories. Further facilities available to guests at this 20-room rural house include a reception area and café, as well as wired and wireless Internet access (fees apply). A washing facility may be used for a fee, and those arriving by car can leave their vehicles in the hotel car park. Younger guests will be able to let off a bit of steam at the children's playground. The farm has been renovated without modifying its rural simplicity and the bedrooms therefore reflect this choice. There is no TV or air conditioning. They are simple, warm, essential and comfortable rooms. Towels and sheets are provided. Towels are changed every 3 days and sheets changed once a week. In addition to a private bathroom with a shower and hairdryer, further standard features of accommodation units include a double or king-size bed and central heating.
