We felt like we were in the real world. From the paintings on the walls to the glass cabinet in the dining room that contains a biblical mountain scene. From the old couple watching to the corner when the restaurant was quiet. From the lovely lady making homemade pasta downstairs to the cheeky waitress who knew I wanted to learn Italian so made me say everything in Italian before she brought anything. We had lunch and dinner here and it was fantastic, especially the spinach and ricotta ravioli which tasted even better after seeing it made an hour earlier. Breakfast was a bit limited but you didn't care as it was served on a terrace overlooking the ocean with views of the lighthouse. We stayed in room 206 with sea views. Simple but comfortable, you get the sense that nothing has changed in years, but that added to its charm and character. I hope it doesn't change.

This was an amazing renovation, and Hotel rocco sul mare is no ordinary hotel. Each room has a unique character and the most of them have a wonderful view, and the location is managed by excellent owners who are always available to assist you. A bottle of wonderful wine was handed to us upon arrival. There is a refrigerator at the front desk, and when we saw our room, it was an unbelievable surprise. We have views of the main street from both sides, a huge bed, original floors from the century, and even a large bathroom with a shower and a separate bath, I have never imagined that this tiny hotel would be such a good location. Also, they serve excellent breakfasts on the balcony and their own restaurant. Additionally, we were astonished by a sizable rooftop terrace where you can enjoy an aperitif with friends while taking in the scenery of the sea and the entire city.

I just stayed here for 1 night but it was a great experience. The view is beautiful and the room has all the comforts you need. The owner is very nice and was the bust guide ever! The breakfast was perfect.

We booked a room online for a friend and wanted 2 beds but when we arrived the room only had a queen bed and no view so in our broken English they moved to another room which was good. Parking is hard to find in high season.

If you go in knowing it’s a 1 star hotel (no lift, lots of stairs, empty minibar etc etc…), then you’ll be delighted. The location is for sure the BEST in Vieste. The rooftop is amazing. Friendly staff and clean basic room. Also you get a discount on the parking area as a guest (€10 for 24 hours!)
