We stayed at the Miramare hotel because we wanted to end our week of touring around the public with a day or two of beaches to relax. It was reasonably priced and appeared to be very nice. In fact, because it was the off-season, we were given rooms with large balconies and sun loungers. The rooms are big, and a cot was provided for free for our young son. Breakfast is excellent fresh fruit and baking, including cakes and tarts, in addition to the more conventional breakfast options. The personnel were fantastic. However, the hotel's location is not in terms of tourism. There aren't many restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel's own lido is a patch of sand on the rocks where you swim off a small jetty. There are wonderful spots up and down the coast from there, but the immediate vicinity isn't great. So, you require a car, but this hotel is a nice base to explore.

The whole trip to Gallipoli was one of the highlights of our motorbike journey around Italy. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Miramare and the Gallipoli area. The hotel is actually around a 15-minute drive from the Gallipoli story center, but is in a lovely location called Conchiglie Alto lido. The hotel is modern, clean, and comfortable, on a tranquil street. Our room was on the lower level, but it had a balcony and a somewhat obstructed view of the sea. We found easy parking on the road directly in front of the hotel, and the hotel also has a locked lot where you can park. Although we do not know much Italian, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We, to put it mildly, felt welcome. I'm not sure if the owner caters to all of the visitors, but we absolutely felt that our stay was important to him. He personally assisted with restaurant reservations in Gallipoli, and we felt that the restaurant was given specialized, expedited treatment.

The hotel is in a great position, 200 meters from the shore and people are out. Our room, with a sea view balcony, is spacious, with air conditioning, a good kitchen, and very friendly staff. Parking is not an issue, and if needed, taxi shuttles are provided to the resorts. Twenty minutes to Gallipoli, Narco, and 45 minutes to Leche and Santa Maria di Locka.

We stayed in their suite with a private Jacuzzi pool on the balcony. The views and jacuzzi were definitely the highlight of the room, something taken directly from a hotel of a much higher category and price, unforgettable. The room itself was clean and the furniture was pretty new, but nothing special, I would say. The staff was very friendly and polite. If I have to find a downside, the breakfast could be improved.

The hotel is very clean and decorated to a high standard, and the room was very comfortable with a large comfortable bed. The bathroom and shower were good. The only hiccups were the lack of tea or coffee making facilities in the room, and the toiletries were a bit meagre only shower gel which is fine if you know you have to bring your own shampoo. Everyone in the hotel was as helpful as they could be and very friendly, but a special mention must be made for datte who served us breakfast every morning. She was very helpful and her English was very good, and her warm smile lit up the room and again she could not have been more helpful. If you are using a sat nav to find the hotel, programme it to search for Sancola not Galipolli and until you find signs to the hotel, head towards the Lido conchiglie. After days of sightseeing, we enjoyed our stay the hot tub was very welcome. I highly suggest this hotel.
