Overall a very good stay and friendly staff in all areas of the hotel and good location and cleanliness. But the hotel needs an update. There was noise at the pool due to its proximity to a major road. not many dining options within walking distance.

You will feel at home at the Relais du Lac in this hotel. The location is very strategic and near the Caligero Castle. The personnel here were so helpful and good at helping us. It has a breathtaking swimming pool in front of the entryway. The location is close to the supermarket and several charming restaurants. Also, there are bicycle and car parking facilities. There is also an amazing villa close by.

I stayed here for a night. On arrival, the entrance is in a garage behind the hotel, we thought it was locked and unwelcoming. The receptionist was kind and friendly. The entire hotel needs to be returned, because it is in bad shape and certainly not four stars compared to many other 4 star hotels in Italy. Our room had a large water heater on the wall which was not good enough, cheap plastic bins, faded artificial flowers, and worn furniture. The pool area was nice. There isn't a restaurant, and the hotel's location is quite distant from any nearby town. Taxis are difficult to locate and it takes a vehicle to get a car. The view of lake garda isn't great, and the beach is a half-hour walk away. Breakfast was hit-and-miss, with a young man who didn't look anything like a chef trying to cook fried eggs and having a nightmare. It was rather amusing, really. The food was just fine, but the plates, cups, and other things were a bit mismatch, not what you would expect from a four-star establishment. I think the staff is trying to make the most of a poor job. Shame, this may be a nice hotel with vision and effort.
