Across the street from Hotel Europa is Fond La Campagnola, which is owned by the same family. For us, a family of three generations traveling together, staying at the residence was the ideal choice. There are several buildings in the large garden area and the residence's apartments are recently renovated old structures. The magnificent citrus garden, immaculately maintained, with a charming, squeaky-clean swimming pool in the center, is the finest feature of Fond La Campagnola. Also great views of the lake and mountains! The apartments vary in size and style, but ours was fairly adequate, and the bathroom was immaculate. The kitchen had a gas range of cookware, a microwave, and a good variety of cutlery. While our apartment overlooked the main road, when the windows were closed, you could not hear the traffic. Our only complaint, and one that is minor, is that it would have been nice if they had taken the trash or at least shown us where to dispose of it.

This place should be avoided because of the constant traffic noise from the coastal road that enters the property. Several places at the gargnano port and in the villa an easy and beautiful walk from the port provide a much more relaxing environment.

This hotel has a good atmosphere. The location is close to the lake and it's many restaurants, shops, and dining. The hotelfondo is a wonderful hotel. The employees were so friendly and helpful. The place was also very welcoming and relaxing.
