I feel in love with this place other then the many stairs to get to your room. I got the room with the balcony which I loved, sitting out in the morning to drink coffee or in the evening with a glass of wine. The ceilings are extremely high with beautiful murals on them. The rooms are spacious and the beds were comfy which was a good surprise. Just be careful on checkout day because they tell you to leave the key in the room and go, but when you get down to the bottom floor you cant leave without the key! Sooo many stairs to run back up, down, back up again and back down!

WOW! What an experience to stay in this property. I could imagine living in this period as I made my way to and from the room every day. The folks helping with check in and out were very friendly and responsive. The room was clean and had plenty of comforts when needed. Great location with a minuet walk to everything. My only want was for a room facing away from the main street outside the window. A bit noisy but manageable with earplugs.

This hotel was fantastic. It was right in the center of everything. And it is very safe. You have about 5 different keys to get into different metal gates and doors. I absolutely loved it here. Definitely recommend, extremely walkable.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The terrace French doors and the high ceilings made me feel like I a Victorian princess. I loved opening the doors and the patio doors for the view and for breeze. There are stairs to the property and you have to check in a bloc or two away so be prepared to walk but with the stairs came a ton of safety!!! Four locks to get through. Felt super safe here. I also loved how we were in the heart of Florence but from the back patio it was so quiet you didn’t hear any of the bustle. Concerned was super communicative the days leading up, answered any questions and got us checked in as soon as possible. Would def recommend!!!

This was a very cool old building in a perfect location- 4 minute walk to Duomo. It reminded us of staying in an old mansion. The rooms were large and the patio was great. The only negative I would say is that it is very sparse for such a beautiful building. Just adding a few more touches would make it seem perfect.

Al modico prezzo di 80 euro a persona senza colazione mi aspettavo molto di più. Essendo abituata a "palazzo del '500", come descritto dalla gentile signora del chekin, non credevo di trovare certo squallore. Le cose più evidenti di questa "residenza d'epoca": scale sporche, sacchi della biancheria sporca all'entrata, neanche uno specchio in camera e nel bagno senza luce per eventuali makeup, tavoletta del water staccata, neanche una cuffia per doccia, non una tenda per una finestra che si affaccia sulle finestre della casa di fronte (stanza Fiesole), spazio comune sporco salvato solo alll'oscurità e dall'affresco del soffitto. Eviterei la banale e scorretta scusa che incolpa personale delle pulizie. Sicuramente da non consigliare.

The building was wonderful; the room was also very nice. However, there was a little closed smell that went away once I opened the window. The reception was at another address (4 min walk) only open until 6 pm. Overall is a good choice.

The actual residences were in a different building than the place of check in and were only accessible through a few flights of stairs. Check in was super efficient. The rooms itself were very spacious and appreciated the big balcony. Be wary of mosquitos if the doors are left open as you could see squished mosquitos on the walls. Wifi was a little spotty for the room we were in but still manageable. Towel service/housekeeping was not provided on a daily basis. Overall, pretty decent as the location was quite central and is a walkable distance to the train station or 1 bus away.
