Posto incantevole! Una villa del quindicesimo secolo finemente ristrutturata con tutti i confort desiderabili. Camere stupende e spaziose e un giardino grandissimo che include 2 piscine e un bosco su una collina. Colazione perfetta e i 2 proprietari sono persone fantastiche che ti fanno sentire a casa. Assolutamente consigliato. Ci torneremo sicuramente al più presto! !

Abbiamo passato 2 giorni bellissimi in questa location davvero suggestiva: la villa, le camere e le piscine sono davvero belle e tenute con cura. La proprietaria è stata sempre gentile e disponibile, anche nel consigliarci cosa visitare e dove mangiare. Colazione preparata in casa ottima!

Our all too brief stay at the elegant Villa Bertagni was an oasis of calm in an otherwise hectic schedule. The historic villa and grounds have been beautifully restored and have a warm and welcoming ambience. Patricia, our hostess, greeted us with a welcome drink and made us feel very much at home with her time and hospitality. We will be booking this hotel again the next time we visit northern Tuscany and we heartily recommend it to others.

Nous avons été gentiment accueillis par notre hôte qui nous a donné beaucoup d'information sur la région, quelques endroits à visiter, un sentier de randonnée à faire et finalement elle nous a indiqué où trouver la meilleure gélato d'Italie. Notre hôte a été d'une grande gentillesse et d'une disponibilité comme on ne voit pas souvent. Je recommande cet endroit pour la générosité des hôtes, pour le confort des lieux.

The stay was amazing and Patricia and hubby were so friendly and helpful! its a bed and breakfast so you need a car to be able to go to nearby areas for lunch and dinner! The kids loved the nature around and the frog pond, pool and walking! Breakfast great and rooms amazing. We stayed in a two bed with two kids and was more than enough. No kitchenette, but small fridge! Be careful which way you come from as we drove from Massa, which was very windy and up hill so kids got car sick but beautiful also. Would def recommend and we will def go back!

Prachtige B&B in noord-Toscane van waaruit je veel zaken zoals Lucca en Cinque Terre binnen een uur rijden hebt. Uiterst vriendelijke eigenaren die klant hoog achten en er veel voor doen. Een echte aanrader!

This is an outstanding accommodation set in beautiful surroundings. We were greeted by our host, Patricia, who welcomed us immediately into the breath-taking reception area, which definitely has the 'wow' factor. Her hosting skills were second to none and she captured every detail when helping us to settle, showing us our amazing room and its wonderful facilities. Patricia and Moshik, and their lovely daughter, Gaia, made our stay so relaxing and comfortable, nothing was too much trouble for them. They also gave us details of the lovely local area and exceptional restaurant recommendations. Our breakfast was a delight of fresh home-made bread, pastries and local delicacies, not to forget the amazing hand-made chocolate cake! Thank you again for a wonderful stay in this truly outstanding villa, and for your wonderful hospitality. We can't wait to come back!

They have clearly put a huge amount of effort into making the accommodation special and they were incredibly attentive to our needs. Could not fault our stay, it was excellent and we will be back!

I was warmly greeted and felt totally welcomed by the host and hostess of this beautifully restored 500 year old villa. This family run hotel was so warm and so very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas with many small medieval villages, generous advice about restaurants, not the least of their many talents were with refined-made dishes and breads from around the world. As it happened she served me poppadums and prosecco as soon as I arrived. My room was filled with antiques and there was a wonderfully comfortable mattress. I had a large and nicely appointed bathroom with a claw foot tub. Warm hot floors. Dimmers and large fireplace. No annoying noise or lights but total silence. The breakfast was served in grand style of home made baked goods under a lovingly restored skylight. There was a sculpture garden with two large swimming pools and a view of the Garfagnana mountains. The coast (Pisa, Lucca, Viareggio) is but an hour drive away, with large beaches and excellent sea food restaurants. Given the altitude of the palazzo and the fact that it is cooled by breezes from the coast, Forte dei Marmi and the Carrara marble mountains are less than an hour drive through the mountains from Garfagnana. The beauty of this area is the friendliness, the locally fresh grown seasonal food and the delicious wine from nearby wineries, plus the wild nature.
