this is a beautiful place with Great people that work there they make you feel like family right away Danyelle at the front desk is especially sweet and even remembered my name the next day also the driver can take you wherever you want there are plenty of restaurants nearby you can walk or he can take you in a fun big bus but the best part is Andrew at the scuba center we did a beginners course and the diving /snorkeling is amazing right at the ladder off the cliffs in front of your room if you want a “real”experience in Negril and not one of those typical all-inclusive‘s that are so overcrowded this is the place ! they make you a great breakfast and just jumping off the cliffs and swimming in that beautiful water was amazing...but the people could not have been nicer

The Negril Escape is our home away from home! We always stay here when we are in Negril and we are never disappointed. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the food is good, the rooms are clean, and the grounds are safe. If you want comfortable, casual and safe, this is the place!

First time staying at this hotel. Away from the beach so nice and quiet. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was awesome! Rooms were outdated but nice.

Great location for jumping or driving from cliffs into a beautiful warm sea, nice large pool, with plenty of lounge chairs. A full breakfast every morning with a mix of traditional favorites and Jamaican fare. Staff absolutely fantastic, and they have beach shuttle each day for free.

This is not a big all inclusive place. It is a nice quaint property with a great view. For need TLC but was generally clean and safe. The staff mostly lived on property and were very friendly. This is a place to go for quiet solitude. Close to good restaurants and bars and s cheap ride to town. I plan to come back.

I recently stayed at the Negril Escape with my girlfriend. We had a blast during our trip. We stayed in room 104 and the view was incredible. The hotel offers a lighthouse you can jump off of as well as a few small alcoves to swim in the ocean, all on top of the swimming pool as well. The only downside to the resort in our opinion was the pushiness and constant hustling from the locals outside of the resoer. Other than that, we had a great time and would recommend Negril Escape if you are looking for a more private experience than the all-inclusives on 7 mile beach

Beautiful views, warm people & a comfortable bed! Never had issues with the AC during our 6 nights. It was always cold & surprisingly quiet for a window unit. The bed was super comfy, I never missed my bed at home! The hot water situation was a little tricky. Some evenings it didn't work but every morning water was super hot. They switch to solar during the day so the AC units don't work (too many watts). This may be a problem if you're planning to be in the room during the day (which I don't understand since there is so much to see/do in Negril!) At night it was always quiet & tranquil. We were on the ocean front side of the property. I'm not sure if being away from the street helped. Sat night was the only noise we heard. A nearby bar had a party & the music was pretty loud but was over by 11pm. Free breakfast was just a couple of cereals & some type of muffin they make. If you want eggs or anything else you'll have to buy a breakfast plate which are $5-$10. Everything tasted great. Free wifi worked well. I had to reconnect a few times but it wasn't slow & I was always able to check email & upload photos. As for safety, we never had any concerns. They have a security manager who keeps an eye on everyone & a safe in the room for valuables. For the cost, I'd rather work around the few minor issues & better spend my money seeing the rest of Jamaica. That is exactly what I did with no regrets. Negril Escape is a beautiful place with similarly beautiful people. I will be back!

Nice, quiet place. Nothing fancy. Worth your money. Very "Jamaican" vibes if you want something other than the resort "still in America" ordeal. My son and grandmother enjoyed it. Food was satisfying, considering it was complimentary. It was worth it. Fresh fruit and traditional Jamaican breakfast options. If sleep comfort is import, got elsewhere. Beds feels cheap and stiff. It was in a perfect area of Negril. Not far at all from Ricks Cafe. No ATM on the property however. Also several are dogs on property. I would not stay here again, but only due to the dogs. Overall, if you just want to chill and dont want to pay for an expensive place, I would recommend here. The hotel aesthetically, has SO much potential, but clearly no one to lead it there yet. Needs investing in.

The accommodations were as expected. A lovely destination for diving and for viewing the Negril sunset. Great personable staff. The only hiccup was with the booking on Hotels.com which stated that breakfast was included only to find out at the resort that it is not. Happy with the destination but disappointed with Hotels.com for incorrect advertising.

Great couple day stay option to check out westerns Negril, but manage e pectations this is. No frills stay. Bed is comfortable, there's a tv with cable (small and old model, but service is great). They offer free wifi. Hotel staff is available during the day and friendly when engaged but there's no room service- there's not even a phone in the room. There's a door lock and chain and a gate at the front that seemed to be intermittently manned. So there's not secured walkways, traveling solo at night felt a little unprotected, but felt safe the entire visit. Very quiet and tranquil and the other guests were friendly. Decor is older but ok: Awesome vaulted wood cieling and adequate closet space, safe in closet and dresser The decor is adequate but rough around the edges, chipping paint, dryed dripped wood stains, broken blinds, non working electrical outlets by the bed and huge inoperable cieling fan. Also the fixtures for sink and tub were clean but worn (rusted and calcium build up) and the grouting around the toilet and tub were old and appeared clean but in an unmatched grey that just looked unfinished and messy. Amazing views: What you will get are amazing views I had room 104, unobstructed cliff, ocean view. The sunsets were amazing here! I loved the hammock just outside my door and deck seating.Honestly I had planned to stay 3 days, but left a day early do I could have better accommodations/meal for my final night/day worth the 2 nights @Expedia Discount

This hotel said "no frills" so I did not pay for all inclusive drinks and things I would not be using!! But the room was clean and safe. The Ocean view was awesome and the people working there were very nice. We had a 2nd floor ocean view. The hotel is walking distance from Rick's cafe, but you can watch the sunset from this hotel. Some things in the hotl are a little dated, but I loved the hammock on the balcony and the cliff diving here. The water was a aquamarine and so clear :-) As Arnold would say "I'll be back".

This old resort has a lot to offer. A friendly staff, good food and service, a great pool and good swimming and snorkeling. I had a comfortable king bed, the maids did a great job of cleaning my room. My room was right on the ocean, a beautiful sight in the morning when I opened my door. Imagine going to sleep with the faint sound of the ocean waves on the rocks! I swung in the hammock many afternoons, watched the sun set from my porch chair. Lots of good restaurants nearby—Ivan's at CatchAFallingStar has amazing food, Ah-By's for amazing burgers, a 10 minute walk to Ricks. Negril Escape is a great value!
