Although this location had seen better days than I expected, the staff was OK, as a foreign visitor traveling alone, I didn't really feel at home. The vast majority of the other visitors were elderly folks or families with young children. I chose this hotel because of the numerous hot spring baths they offer, the spring quality itself seemed inadequate. They provided supper meat which had obviously undergone freeze burns at one point, as I could tell by the discoloration, and they anticipate you to consume it raw when it isn't even fresh. While the main bedroom's lightbulb had died, my room was rather large and offered a lovely view of the outside mountain scenery. I used a coin massage chair in the foyer, but it was only as shabby as I had experienced before.

You shouldn't go there if you like flawless and contemporary hotels. But don't give up if you don't mind the starkly faded walls, love nature, have a big garden, and have spacious Japanese-style rooms. I read a very negative review about the start of the hotel, and I don't like it. I liked the exterior beginning, which included rocks and bushes and two huge hot springs. If you want to visit Mount Aso, the location is excellent, and the price is quite affordable.

Driving there, it's not difficult to locate using Google Maps. The rooms themselves were well-kept, although the common areas needed to be renovated. Dinner was served in a distinct space? The eatery's initial environment was more open and smaller, but lacked much amenities. The weather wasn't too hot outside. When we utilized the hotel's smaller beginning, it was superior and less crowded. The horsemeat sashimi supper was tasty.
