We had a wonderful experience when staying at this traditional Japanese inn. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Because there are linguistic differences, everyone is able to communicate with us. And, the personnel member who spoke English well was really helpful. To be specific, they have an adult room and were extremely kind with our children. The shuttle service was convenient, making traveling simple. The menu was delectable, made with regional, high-quality seasonal ingredients, and served with delicious food.4.4/59 Aug 2023

Hiking is suitable for a day trip from Kyoto. However, if you prefer to stay one night, this hotel is a reasonable option. I drove there. I needed rps to help me find it's location because the sign board wasn't that obvious. But anyway, youll find it. I opted for the half board option dinner was good and breakfast was ok. Typical of a good hot spring in an early hotel. Not a high-end option. But decent and fulfilled its purpose. I was happy. The public bath itself was a big little. I went there in the evening and morning. I was the only person around 700 a.m. I liked the hot spring and it's quietness.4.4/516 Jul 2023

We had a wonderful stay at Futabaso in the hiking city of Japan. A traditional Japanese inn with a great view of the lake Biwa. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Be sure to visit the hiking castle. We had easy access to trains for day trips to Kyoto and Osaka.4.4/527 May 2023

We had never been to a Roman before, and we were not let down. We ordered a call ahead, were met at the station, were dropped at the hiking castle to see while our luggage was brought to our room. We walked 30 minutes along I bawa back to the hotel, were ushered to our room, and made a cup of tea. The room was enormous and had views of both castle and lake! It was then time to relax before dinner was served in a separate room next door. Once more, our first experience of private room dining and service, with our wonderful hostess gently knocking, serving the next course, and bowing out. The same price for a very complete Japanese breakfast the next morning. Many grins and bowing before we were taken to the station, unfortunately we only stayed one night. Fantastic value at under yen 00 for room, dinner, breakfast, and all facilities.4.2/525 Aug 2022

The service was so fantastic. The rooms were so traditional that you can sleep on the floor and have supper served in your room at night. It's so comfortable. I think it's not a good idea for people who don't open their mind.Location
