The proximity to the TATAYA station is the most exciting thing about this little family-run inn. This is critical after a long hike. This place is safe. Nonetheless, please keep in mind that there are only common bathrooms and toilets. Also, there is no lift, so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. All in all, ok for a brief one-night stay. No frills.

Last week, I traveled to tateyama for the tateyamakurobe alpine trip to experience some summer snow. When we arrived at chub international airport at 340 am, my group of five gathered our rental car, ready to leave for the tateyama kokusai hotel the following morning. Our plan was to drive straight to the hotel on the same day so that we could depart early for the route the next morning. The trip from chub airport to tateyama took about 310 hours, and I expected to be at the motel by around 815 am. I informed the motel early that onset, which is one of the more contemporary hotels, served dinner early because we were late. We only arrived at the motel at 845 am since we took a short stop at one of the service stations to answer the call of nature. We were the only people on our table when we started our vehicle up. When we first pulled our vehicle up, a hotel employee was waiting for us. He escorted us up to the reception and we were then told that dinner would be waiting for us at the restaurant. We were the only guests in our twinned room, and after we added an extra bed for my old mother, we still had space to move around and had a japanese-style meal. The hotel also provides free wifi. Senjusou is a short distance from Tatayama station. We bought our alpine routes early in the morning and had a quick breakfast at the hotel. Roman is very tidy and well-kept. The only drawback for us was the public shower bath, which is unusual for us and made us uncomfortable. Otherwise, sensuous is strongly advised to get an early start on the alpine route.

To make my journey less cumbersome for a single woman to travel along the entire alpine route, I have divided the itinerary above into three parts. I traveled from Tokyo to Washington before landing a stopover at tateyama on my way back to Tokyo. Many people will carry on their mountain travel by cable car once they reach tateyama station. For those of you who are planning a stopover like me, you must contact the motel for a personal pickup from the station. The hotel is approximately 30 minutes distant from tateyama Station. The hotel is designed with an indoor entrance with a view. Also, be mindful to reserve a hotel that includes dinner and breakfast because there are no neighborhood eateries or stores nearby. Overall, it's a peaceful environment. My room is so large I believe it can take up to 46 people. In the morning, the hotel provides a shuttle bus service to tateyama station, which you may use to continue your alpine route journey.

This is a good onion hotel. We spent 4 nights there. Nice food. They provide free wifi throughout the hotel. Buses to the station are free. However, if you have a vehicle and are out of season, you might as well drive yourself down. We prefer to go up and over instead of using the traditional up and down route on day trips and the Alpine route. Parking is provided for free at the hotel and in town. There was tatami in our Western Japanese room. The best of both worlds, even if it's too old for sitting on the floor, making use of this location is challenging.

A very close by and quite convenient place to stay – tateyama station. Friendly and inviting traditional Japanese homestay. A tidy, sterile environment. A drawback, however, is that there are no eateries in the area. If you don't mind staying over the night on Takata, you might want to consider ordering their food from the proprietor, who made a delicious homecooked Japanese meal. If not, it's preferable to stay in the city of Oahu so that you can enjoy traveling to other parts of Oahu and Japan.

The Roman is very close to Takayama station, making it an ideal location to stay the night to get an early start on the Alpine route. Buy your ticket at the station before eating breakfast at the Roman. The Roman is a fantastic nightcap. The comfortable Japanese-style rooms had a wash basin. The communal bathrooms are spotless and handy for the bedrooms. Do reserve half board not just because there is nowhere to eat but also because the meals are delicious. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Our lack of Japanese language was not a problem because good humor, sign language on both sides, plus google translate, overcame any problems.

Before heading up the mundo alpine trail the next morning, we stayed the night at this convenient hotel. There is nothing to complain about the hotel, but nothing to write home about except for the initial sulphur scent, which was very invigorating and relaxing. The hotel has a convenient free pickup service twice daily from the Obama station.

This place is great but it can be a great one. Rooms are basic and comfortable. There is nothing to do nearby, and if you don't have your car, it's better to come late or just before dinner, assuming you order it in advance. The start was wonderful. The staff was kind enough to send a shuttle to pick me up from Tatayama station when I arrived early at 15:30. There are no taxis there and no public transportation. However, I learned there are no eating options unless you preorder your dinner at least 24 hours in advance. I find it a little weird that for such a big hotel where many people remain. At least some extremely simple to prepare foods, such as pasta, ought to be provided. I received a small sushi and soba soup, probably after feeling sorry for me. So, that was nice, but I still believe that some simple items should be available in their restaurant.
