I was pleasantly surprised at the clean and modern state of this hotel. The interior and rooms in this hotel feel brand spanking new. You can control the A/C in your room and while the room itself isn’t large, it’s well laid out for two travelers. The tv is enabled with apps like Netflix and YouTube, and this seems to be an uncommon amenity here in Japan, so worth mentioning for foreign travelers. The hotel breakfast is solid and varied in its offerings. The location is quite good, as you are across the street from a local train platform, one stop south of Kyoto Station. A bus stop is just steps from the front door. From here, you can get to further flung spots like Nara and Arashiyama in under an hour. There are local restaurants and a Lawson convenience store all with a block of the hotel, making this perhaps the best value of my entire trip to Tokyo/Kyoto.

Vi tilbrakte 3 netter på Era ComfortToji hotell. Hotellet var uten tvil det beste vi har bodd på så langt i Japan (Tokyo, Hiroshima..), med store rom, lounger å oppholde seg i med mulighet til å ta seg te og snacks, og hjelpsomme medarbeidere! Library cafe var et godt sted å være! Beliggenheten var topp, med lett tilgang til kollektivt, over gata er det en lokal togstasjon! Anbefaler hotellet på det varmeste🇯🇵🌸
