ドミトリーが初めてなので心配していましたが、スタッフの方はとても親切で、建物も古民家の趣があり良かったです。古い建物なのでどうしてもドアの開閉音、階段のギィギィ音などがあり、神経質な方は止めた方がいいと思います。案外カーテン1枚でも自分の空間が保たれて良かったです。

Very good hostel, the staff is amazing, really accomodating ! I love the living room, very warm and cosy. The kitchen is fully functional as well. There is only one shower and one sink for everybody, the sink is in a corridor so not really good but I understand that it's a old house so not easy to do more ! I would recommend it !

For the price, this is really a great hostel and place for stay for the short term. The staff are very friendly and approachable, and always greet guests warmly. The place itself is an old wooden Japanese house, but nicely maintained and cozy on the inside. Decorations are cute as heck and gives the whole place a nice chill vibe. They also provide each guest two free toast with different jams and butters, and coffee in the morn for breakfast. Only potential downside is that the bunk bed can be a little hard. Everything else was A++.

this is a lovely hostel right next to zenkokoji. the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. nice old wooden house. airconditioning. nagano is a wonderful little place to visit. highly recommended.

Lokasinya bagus, dekat sekali dengan Kuil Zenkoji, tetapi hanya 20 menit berjalan kaki dari stasiun kereta. We had a wonderful time at dot hostel. Great kitchen if you cook, free breakfast, free laundry, clean, quaint, authentic feel. It is located a block or two from a stunningly beautiful temple complex. The sunrise ceremony at the temple is a must! A bus passes nearby for hiking in the togakushi forest. I recommend the five shrine walk! Maps in the common room. I had these experiences and more in nagano, thanks to the patience and kindness of the people working at dot hostel. They have really great recommendations and are even better people. Staying there was the highlight of our trip to japan.

The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the location is very good, you can meet and chat with lots of new people. Great place overall. One major flaw is that the shower room door has no lock, so even with a sign posted that you are inside, the chances of someone walking in are quite high.

We would gladly return to stay here. On our recent trip to nagano, my friend and i spent two nights here. A lovely, welcoming hostel in the quieter part of nagano. It is close to the main street but also quite peaceful, right next to the temple. Given how chilly it was outside, we were pleasantly surprised by how cozy and warm it was inside. Lovely, roomy bunk beds and a lovely lounge area downstairs. Very welcoming personnel.

The owner, nao, was very helpful. He spoke english and provided a nice quiet room in a great location. Highly recommended if you are staying in nagano! The owner even spent a few hours helping me find my lost train pass, going to different police stations etc.

Jika Anda berkunjung ke Nagano, Anda wajib menginap di Dot Hostel Nagano. Jika Anda datang ke Jepang dan belum pernah tidur di rumah Jepang kuno yang sangat tua, jangan lewatkan tempat ini! Rasakan sensasi tidur di rumah Jepang kuno yang tidak bisa Anda temukan di tempat lain. Yang terpenting, bepergian sangat nyaman. Halte bus sangat dekat, hanya 5 menit berjalan kaki. Staf berbicara bahasa Inggris dengan baik dan cukup baik untuk merekomendasikan tempat wisata. Lokasi bagus, dekat dengan tempat wisata, dekat Kuil Zenko-ji, dekat area perbelanjaan, dekat stasiun kereta api. Lingkungannya sangat indah. Sangat menyenangkan untuk mengambil foto. Kesan setiap kali saya pergi untuk menginap. Bagian luar terlihat agak tua, tapi di dalamnya didekorasi dengan hangat, membuatnya nyaman seperti di rumah sendiri. Dapur besar, kamar mandi bersih, kasur empuk dan wangi. Sarapan juga tersedia. Sangat sepadan dengan uang yang dikeluarkan. Siapa yang akan datang ke Nagano? Atau berencana untuk datang ke Nagano untuk pertama kalinya? Ayo tinggal di sini! Pasti tidak akan kecewa.

Been there in January. The place is cozy and traditional. The bed and shower were clean. The shower room got a little cold because we were there in the winter, but that wasnt too much of a problem.

The staff and owner are very friendly and nice. The rooms are clean and well maintained and have a very good atmosphere. I made a mistake with my booking and the owner was very kind and relaxed about the problem. Thank you very much! Decent location right next to the beautiful zenkoji temple.

I had a wonderful time at this place. I booked it for one night and ended up staying for five. Very comfortable beds, cool building, right next to the temple, and friendly and helpful staff who let me leave my bicycle for a few days while i went to visit a friend in tokyo. A great place to rest and recharge.
