Definitely not a typical Japanese hostel, this one is slightly older and has less amenities. The male dorm on the ground floor has no key, so the door was left unlocked. There is only one air conditioner in the dorm, which was quite adequate for my side of the room. But I heard complaints from other roommates that the temperature was too hot. However, given the price they charge and the only two hostels in Kagoshima, this hostel is fair for the price I paid. It was at least better than I anticipated from reading the reviews!. I. The entire building shakes when large vehicles pass through the road in front of the hostel!.

This hostel has its advantages because of its great community. It's quick to meet people at a convenient meeting location, with several relaxing spaces available on each floor. Excellent, was the shared dorm bathroom. The hostel is in a great position because it is conveniently close to the central station, Kagoshima Chum, and is close to the waterfront. To get to Sakaraima Island and see the volcano on the other side of the bay, it's only a brief walk from the ferry terminal. The hotel's proximity to a busy main road and the staff's performance were both little nice. They appear to communicate with visitors in a manner that makes them appear like they are being put to some difficulty by visitors, making for an odd welcome and atmosphere.

The location is ideal if you use the ferry toyakushima terminal, which is only a short walk away. A tram stop that connects to the or station is also just a minute away. The terrace area is cozy and attractive. The wine was reasonably priced. WiFi was effective. I stayed in two different dormitories. The bed mixed dorm capsules are rather good and provide a decent amount of space for the guests. The bed in the male dorm, the bunk beds are quite cramped, with little room for a backpack, was too hot, had a foul foul smell, and were too shaky. I could hardly fall asleep during the night I was there.

Excellent location in a nice city. The hostel is close to the ferry that will transport you to Sakorajima. It takes 10 minutes to walk there and 10 minutes to get to the city center. Oh, the supermarket is a short walk from the hostel. Great atmosphere.
