Accommodation Tax Excluded

An accommodation tax is required in Kyoto from Oct 2018. Guests (both adults and children) are required to pay this extra tax by cash when you check in.
• JPY200 per guest per night if the room rate per night is under JPY5,999
• JPY400 per guest per night if the room rate per night is between JPY6,000 and JPY19,999
• JPY1,000 per guest per night if the room rate per night is over JPY20,000
* This is the new tax rate which is going to be implemented in March 2026.
* 10% consumption tax is included in the room charge.

Arrival Time Notice

Please give us a prior notice if you are arriving after 9 pm. Otherwise the main entrance door can be locked and you won't be able to check in.


As of 1 March 2026, changed local tax regulations require guests to pay accommodation tax at updated rates, which will be collected separately by the property during the check-in process. The tax is determined by the room rate and is charged per person, per night, as follows: 

【Accommodation tax through 28 February 2026】  
For room rates less than JPY 20,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 500   
For room rates of JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000  

【Accommodation tax from 1 March 2026, onwards】  
For room rates less than JPY 6,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400  
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 1,000   
For room rates from JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000 
For room rates of JPY 100,000 or more: JPY 10,000   

For the purposes of the accommodation tax, the term “accommodation fee” will refer to the room-only rate, excluding any meal charges and consumption tax.  
Please settle the payment at the hotel upon check-in.
Children Prices and Policy
