I was really worried about our stay as there were few reviews by westerners or even in English. We decided to try it because it was near to Kyoto, easily accessible by bullet train, ski in and ski out, and cheaper than most other hotels nearby. So glad we did. To get to their shuttle bus stop, you have to walk outside the train station and up the street of about 50100 m. However, it was enough for small children. Checkin was easy. Englishspeaking employees were present. The room was large and the kids were excited to experience a Japanese style room with futon beds. Because they weren't comfortable with a hard bed, we did need to request an extra futon mattress. But after that the room was big enough to leave the beds set up all day and still have the remaining half of the room used as a lounge dining room. You get robes and slippers to wear around the hotel, and many of the Japanese take the shuttle to a nearby ski field for the day. It was a fantastic beginning! We had never been there before, and when we initially worried about being naked among strangers, everyone was friendly, and we really enjoyed the experience. But my kids had been learning, so it was perfect for them. Although my husband and I have previous skiing experience, it is not too monotonous. When we arrived at gala yuzawa on the day to snowboard, we were able to rent ski equipment right outside the hotel which was fantastic, with no lines so we saved time and got a discount as a hotel resident. I also had the opportunity to play in the snow area behind the hotel which was very convenient. The start was great. I had the chance to go to both smaller and cozier one and a larger one, both with indoor and outdoor pools with different water temperatures. I had to pay for some amount to the hotel, and Papplication finally reimbursed me. We would have booked directly with the hotel, but we found their website not that easy to understand for international visitors. I would definitely return to this hotel if given the chance to visit the yuzawa region again in the future. We definitely experienced local hospitality here.

I spent two nights here after moving from a different ski resort. This is a very local resort. not very new. Lots of Japanese. We went on hard December. We paid an extra to this weekend's national holiday. A complimentary shuttle from the location near yuzawaechigo station. It took about 15 minutes to arrive. Check-in was systematic and effective despite being incredibly crowded. However, because we got there early in the morning, we were only able to check in at the rp. So we skied down the slopes. Ski lift rentals were cheap, but the equipment was very old and worn. Ski lifts were inexpensive, but it was a bad season and in fact, there wasn't much snow on the slopes. Of course, it is not the resort's responsibility. However, the slopes were packed with vacationers. The room was small but functional. With Japanese comforters, we slept on the floor. The restroom and toilet were quite small. Breakfast and dinner buffets were decent. However, the public onset was good, but the outdoor onset was rather small. There was an indoor pool that was free for guests, but we didn't use it because we didn't bring our swimwear, but you could rent or purchase one at the hotel if you wanted it. Our experience at the hotel angel grandma was wonderful. From the time we made a reservation until we checked out. Thank you especially to Takeuchi san, who we talked to via email months before our stay. We requested food choices that weren't included in the room package we booked with papplication, and it was perfect for our night stay. Communication took a while to respond to my questions, but takeuchi san made sure he followed through with replies to every detail necessary, including dinner time. The hotel rooms were perfect. It included some bunk beds and every room was different, some of the rooms had a separate area, and others didn't, but the bedding was complete. There was a vending machine and an ice machine right outside our floor, so we didn't even have to leave. And, there was a ski resort right outside the hotel. They provided lockers at the back entrance for ski equipment. We went to gala yuzawa on the day to snowboard, but we were able to rent ski equipment just outside the hotel, which was great, with no lines, and got a discount as a hotel resident. Generally, the hotel and service were very good. Having said that we had some issues with papplication regarding the 3 kids, which we got confirmation for. Also, some limitations on their system forced us to pay

I stayed in a Western Japanese room for four nights. There is a bed for two, a place to put on a mattress, and two sofa beds. A little kitchen with no food. There are numerous guests, but I was impressed by their quick service and logistics. Generally, there is only one green slope, with a portion of it being red at the top. A nice place for beginners, but if you want more variety, youll have to visit nearby ski resorts. A decent breakfast. As it were at first, there isnt much to do at night compared to other ski resorts I've visited in the past.
