■Notice Regarding the Use of the Natural Hot Spring Spa Facility■

At Hotel Monterey Kyoto, we have introduced a service that allows all staying guests to use the natural hot spring spa facility, “Spa Trinite,” to further enhance your stay.
Please be advised: Relaxation and esthetic services (such as aroma treatments and body massages) are available for an additional fee.
When using the spa facilities, please bring towels from your guest room. You may also enter the spa wearing slippers or pajamas.

【Spa Closure Dates (for mandatory inspections)】August 4, 2026 (Tuesday), September 1, 2026 (Tuesday), October 5, 2026 (Monday) and October 6, 2026 (Tuesday), November 10, 2026 (Tuesday), December 1, 2026 (Tuesday), February 1, 2027 (Monday) to February 5, 2027 (Friday), and March 2, 2027 (Tuesday)【Important Notes】
Guests with tattoos are not permitted to use the spa facilities.
Children under 3 years old are not permitted to use the spa.
As of 1 March 2026, changed local tax regulations require guests to pay accommodation tax at updated rates, which will be collected separately by the property during the check-in process. The tax is determined by the room rate and is charged per person, per night, as follows: 

【Accommodation tax through 28 February 2026】  
For room rates less than JPY 20,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 500   
For room rates of JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000  

【Accommodation tax from 1 March 2026, onwards】  
For room rates less than JPY 6,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400  
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 1,000   
For room rates from JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000 
For room rates of JPY 100,000 or more: JPY 10,000   

For the purposes of the accommodation tax, the term “accommodation fee” will refer to the room-only rate, excluding any meal charges and consumption tax.  
Please settle the payment at the hotel upon check-in.
Regarding the accommodation tax stipulated by the Kyoto City Accommodation Tax Ordinance

From Sunday, October 1, 2023, due to system improvements related to the invoice system, at the property, you will be required to pay the accommodation tax on-site.
The accommodation charges listed include only the service charge and consumption tax.

*Applicable to reservations made after January 1, 2024 (Monday).
*The "accommodation fee" in the accommodation tax is the fee for accommodation only, excluding meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), etc.
*For credit card payment reservations, only the accommodation tax will be paid on-site.

[Kyoto City Accommodation Tax (as of January 1, 2024)]
・Less than 20,000 JPY: 200 JPY
・Over 20,000 JPY and less than 50,000 JPY: 500 JPY
・Over 50,000 JPY: 1,000 JPY
*The accommodation tax rate is based on the accommodation fee per person per night.


Temporary Closure Due to Air-Conditioning System Replacement Work

Thank you for your continued support.

To provide guests with a more comfortable experience and improved services, the property will carry out replacement work on the air-conditioning system throughout the property.

The property will be temporarily closed during the following period due to the work.

Temporary closure period: From January 3, 2027, to January 31, 2027
Scheduled reopening date: February 1, 2027

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your kind understanding and cooperation.
If the name on the guest's passport is different from the name on the reservation, we may not be able to accommodate you. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please make sure to register the full name of the guest on the reservation as it appears on the guest's passport. If you did not register the guest's name at the time of reservation, please change the guest's name on the confirmation page of the reservation details.We prohibit the resale of reservations to others, or any reservation activities deemed for commercial purposes.
