Small but lovely property with friendly receptionist who spoke good English. We stayed in the garden room on the ground floor which was a little dark even during the day, but very nice. Easy walk to the station was a bonus.

Absolutely lovely little hotel, that offers spacious rooms ( hard to find in big cities of Japan). Front desk hours are well pronounced, and there was always someone at those hours. Its only few rooms hotel, so do not expect an attendances or room service. If you are looking for spacious, two beds room, this is a great find. There was a refrigerator in the room, bathtub and shower and everything you need, easy to find, great location

Our stay at hotel ethnography was truly delightful. Its a fantastic location, and the breakfast provided was truly exceptional. Our room was impeccably clean and cozy. The staff went above and beyond to assist us, even returning an item we had left in our room upon departure.

This hotel was one of our favorites during our trip to japan. The rooms are modern japanese minimalist style. There are only 2 rooms per floor, so privacy and silence are guaranteed. Perfect location close to all the highlights of kyoto. The hotel is 15 minutes walk from kyoto station, with plenty of restaurants and mini markets on the road. The only inconvenience is that they dont have a fulltime receptionist so communication is only via phone. Very difficult if you bought a travel sim card as phone calls are not included in most plans. It would be great if they provided a direct line for WhatsApp or facebook messenger for all special requests.

Tempat penginapan yang bagus, unik dengan nuansa tradisional Jepang. Tidak menyangka kamarnya cukup besar untuk ukuran twin bed, karena terlihat kecil di resepsionis. Dapatkan fasilitas free Mifi yang dapat kita bawa kemana-mana selama di Kyoto. Lokasi hotel juga hanya 7 menit dari stasiun Kyoto dengan taksi. Stafnya ramah dan berbicara bahasa Inggris.

An obscure amd boutique hotel with an unattractive exterior that is easy to miss when traveling there, but pleasantly surprises with charming interiors and furnishings made of mostly wood and organic materials. There are even murals of sorts depicting lotuses, etc., and this applies to both the hotel lobby and its rooms. Needless to say, it is warm, inviting, zenlike, and comfortable, with yellow lighting peeking through various crevices and ledges in the hotel. Large rooms with beautiful paper, wood and plaster surfaces, more than enough natural soap bars, highquality shower supplies, and a great shower head design. Breakfast is a set consisting of yogurt granola, coffee or tea, two pieces of bread, a very small bowl of soup, and a platter of six small dishes. They all tasted great, although i did find myself wanting a slightly larger portion of each dish served on the platter. Incidentally, the entire hotel is apparently managed by a single englishspeaking person at the lobby front desk. Given how inaccessible the hotel is, i thought the price could be a little lower.

The staff was very nice and enthusiastic! The room was spacious and very Japanese style. But i dont like their breakfast. The food was too sweet someday. But the bread was great! The location wasnt too far from the temple and train station. You can walk on foot.
