The kyoto garden hotel is located in a trendy neighborhood where many stores, bars, and restaurants are close by. It is a block from the Karasumaoike subway stop, which is served by both kyoto subway lines. The location and price are unbeatable.

The location is great even though it's a bit antiquated. It is convenient as a base for sightseeing because it's just a few minutes from the subway station. But the street is not marked, I passed it at night without even looking at the map and looking at the pictures. I had to ask the local where it is from.

My wife and two kids, ages 4 and 2, visited Kyoto in case of a family emergency. We didn't have time to plan the trip, so we booked a room the next morning on a friend's recommendation. A few thoughts about our visit 1. Location The hotel is a short taxi ride from Koto station and conveniently located to the south of Kotogosho's imperial palace. On days when we had time to see, we strolled from the hotel to well-known spots like the palace and Nio castle. The fashionable neighborhood has a variety of restaurants, bars, and cafes, which are an attractive contrast to the beautiful historic structures that have survived. A convenience store is located two blocks down the street for necessities of daily life. The Karasumaoike subway stop is just around the corner, and it is easy to reach many city attractions such as the Koto Zoo and Botanical Gardens, both of which are recommended especially for families. Room amenities are simple, and the small amenities are sparse. With several comfortable chairs and a laidback decor in the lobby, the lobby has a homey feel. Two desktop computers with internet access are located in the lobby. Because of the hotel's low cost, the service was excellent from beginning to end, which was a pleasant surprise. It may look old, but it's in an amazing position. It's really convenient to use the subway station for sightseeing, only a few minutes away. One issue, there are no signs on the street. I passed by first night without noticing it, even looking at the map and the photographs, I had to ask a local where it is.

A few thoughts about our stay 1. The hotel is a minute cab ride from Kyoto Station, conveniently located just south of Kyoto Imperial Palace kyotogosho. On days when we had time to see, we walked to famous spots like the palace and Nio Castle from the hotel on the days we had time to see. The trendy neighborhood has restaurants, bars, and cafes, a nice contrast to the gorgeous old buildings that are still standing. For everyday necessities, a convenience store is located two blocks down the road. The Karasumaoike subway station is just around the corner, a two-minute walk away, giving easy access to city attractions such as the Kyoto Zoo and Botanic Gardens, both recommended especially for families. Room amenities are simple, but small amenities are sparse. The lobby has a homey feel to it, with a few comfortable chairs and a relaxed decor. Two desktop computers in the lobby with internet access. The service here was outstanding from start to finish, which was a pleasant surprise given the facilities affordability. I highly recommend this hotel and will return. The only thing that I cannot say is this hotel is in a bad location. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are not big. The provided slippers are reused by guests and not fresh like other hotels. They do not provide a laundry for guests. This place doesn't have a great value for money.

We had a great night at the Kyoto Garden Hotel. Despite the small rooms, they were quiet, clean, and comfy, which is all a sightseeer needs. The hotel staff was helpful and accommodating. The hotel is located in a trendy neighborhood with many shops, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. It is also a block from Karasumaoike subway station, which is served by both kyoto subway lines. The location and price are unbeatable.

The location is strategic and in a good location, with friendly service. The room is small and the bathroom is small. The slippers provided are reused by guests and not new like other hotels. They don't provide laundry to guests. Not good value for money.
