Overall, a fantastic experience in the Roman. We were three adults sharing a room and stayed one night, but we did enjoy it, it was perfectly fine, a bit cold, but quiet, and comfortable. We had no problems sharing the bathrooms, they were clean and well-maintained. The staff is very friendly, they picked us up at the train station, and the next day they drove us to the Snow Monkey park for free. We also made a private request and thoroughly enjoyed it! It is a necessity, and if you don't like sharing or aren't interested in being naked, the private onset is a fantastic option. Just 500 yen per person for about an hour and 5 minutes driving, they drive you and pick you up for free, so there's no hassle at all. We also had breakfast and dinner, and the food was very nice, a mix of Japanese and Western, and the prices were affordable. The town is very lovely, and you can easily spend a few more days touring the area.

We reserved a notary hostel because it was the cheapest around 40 in the area and one of the closest stays to the snow monkeys. That doesn't mean next door. To reach the park's entrance, either walk for 45 minutes or take the bus and walk for 25 minutes. The bus from the station to the notary hostel is about 7 minutes and departs once or twice an hour. You exit at Shibuwagobashi station and walk 4 minutes to the hostel. It is a pretty large building with 4 or 5 floors. Overall, the atmosphere is worn out, but with a bit of dedication, you could build a truly lovely hostel. They have an entrance on the ground level, which is also used for the shower, though it was not very busy. Our room was on the first floor and had a lovely view. Unfortunately, you couldn't open the taped windows. What we really didn't enjoy most was the chilly temperatures inside the room, especially when you have to turn the heater on every 5 minutes. The Japanese-style futon had decent sleep, but it was covered in duvets. And one truly beautiful aspect was that it was big! On the mattress, there is plenty of space for luggage and relaxation. The receptionist lady, who appeared to be the owner, spoke excellent English and was helpful with anything we needed. It's unfortunate that they didn't put more

I had a great experience with this hotel. The owner was very nice and helpful in every way, especially bringing us to the train terminal when we checked out and a ride to the snow monkey park. Their hotel is tidy and nice. And they have a starting!

I'm looking forward to skiing again in the winter. I visited the Kumanoyu hotel in the summer on a hiking trip, and I was completely astonished by its charm. It's immaculately tidy and organized, and I absolutely loved all the aspects of Japanese culture, even its inception, including an outdoor space that is great for summer, its Japanese-style bedrooms, and the incredible multicourse meals, including delicacies such as blue fin tuna. The staff was incredibly helpful and assisted us in arranging excursions in the area, e. I. To pagan snow monkey sanctuary. The hotel is also conveniently close to ski lifts, which is where I hope to ski in the winter.

One of the places we liked the most when we traveled to Japan was this one. With its traditional rooms, beginning and complete Japanese breakfast, the hotel is a great deal and is fun to stay in. The hosts are extremely nice. They will offer to drop you off at the Snow Monkey Park, give you mud boots, and tell you where to get the best soba noodles, etc. They are also extremely attentive to children. They give them material to make a poster of their experience, there are many on the walls, give them small souvenirs, etc. A really wonderful trip for the whole family.

What does this hostel do wrong? 1 is run by a bunch of unscrupulous, often unhelpful individuals. The bedding doesn't smell clean and has many old hairs pinned to them and through them. Our room's bathroomshower 304 wasn't working, and we weren't told it was there, leaving us unable to wash our hands. With only the public shower at onset, so that meant you had to be naked two floors down to wash in! Our room had four bugs, five of very poor quality and a very poor maintenance. Wi-Fi was useless, seven of the building and facilities are generally underwhelming, eight very loud at night with customers and staff, and a late check in despite a sign on the entrance door stating that silence is closed after 10 p.m. And check in only between rp and 10 p.m. Somebody tried to check in to our room, claiming that at 12 a.m., they had to build a traditional futon-style bed. Which is correct? This is the cheapest town in town, this place has the potential to be lovely, but it has missed nearly every step of making a nice place to stay. This is a very pricey area, and they are clearly happy to just target the budget market, but this misses standards for even bargain-price

Since I rarely travel, I research for weeks ahead of my trip, but this was a lastminute opportunity to see snow monkeys. I reserved this on the train wifi on the way there because my train ticket was canceled, and I wasnt sure I would be able to go because they responded to my question quickly, and the crucial details for me were the location of the train station, the free shuttle to the monkey park, and the restaurant on site. I already selected a royokan because I wanted to try an onset. The beds were comfy, and the twin room was roomy. Very convent was close to the womens restroom because I was there. All parts were immaculately clean. The heating system was quite efficient during the winter. My decision couldnt have been happier. The employees were very kind and gave me valuable advice for my first plunge. The royokan is close to a hilltop hotel in the villages 9 onset, and is only a few doors from a very costly hotel. The breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day since I was too exhausted to try the restaurant in the evening. My only regret is that I was unable to remain longer. If I ever visit the area again, I will certainly stay here again.

The host was kind enough to take us to the monkey park and the Yudanaka train station. The Japanese food was very good. Shimmy has started, separated by gender. 10 minutes uphill walking from Yudanaka train station.

I've already been to this hotel twice, and both times I had a wonderful experience. The hotel is in a perfect combination of Japanese and western hotels. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the hot spring is a real sight. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the food, with one menu featuring wagyu and bluefin tuna.

This is a great place to stay for the price we paid. The receptionist lady was very helpful and gave us great suggestions about what to do in Yamanouchi. The rooms were clean but a little outdated and the place was a bit dark but overall for the price of a private room it was good value for money. Onsite start is quite cool.

In December, I stayed with my spouse for two nights to snowboard at Shiva Open Ski Resort and visit the monkey park. The hosts were kind when we had to arrive late due to a delayed train, and they provided waterproof boots and umbrellas to borrow because it was so snowy. Restaurants, a convenience store, and Yudanaka Station are all within walking distance. The hosts can arrange transportation to and from the monkey park, just be careful to book in advance and arrive early to avoid crowds. Although the building is on the older side, it is clean and cozy. Observe the view from our room 302!.

We had a wonderful time at Koishiya Roman. Although we arrived before check-in, it wasn't a problem because our room was fully furnished. We reserved a private outdoor onset from the roman for 100 yen, and it was a lovely experience that we had in kata and sandals being delivered to the door. It was nice to be so close to the monkey park, and once more, we were delighted that the closest place to access the park was open in the winter. We were early enough to be there without too many other visitors, and we simply walked down the hill back to Koishiya afterward. The restaurant served several meals, especially the coffee and baguettes for breakfast. We would return because it offered excellent value. We never had an issue with the shared bathrooms, and utilized the nearby public onset number three. We used the very close public onset number three during our stay because there werent many other eateries open in Shifu, so lunch and dinner choices on the local menu were a little subpar.

What a nice place to spend a few days. The beauty of the Japanese mountainside is something to behold. Relaxing in the evening with a warm sulfur bath after a five-star Kiseki banquet what else can someone reasonably desire?

We visited off season, but we had a wonderful couple of days. Plenty of beautiful walks into the beautiful Japanese mountains, delicious food and wonderful traditional baths at the hotel.

I can't comprehend the negative reviews for this place. In August, I came with two buddies and it was, despite its actual status as a hostel, one of the greatest ryokanstyle accommodations I've ever remained in. This location is excellent value for money, being located in the heart of Shifu Beginning, on a lovely street dotted with vintage structures. Traditional Japanese style rooms are clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. If you experience discomfort with slightly firm mattresses or sleeping on the ground, you shouldn't stay in a location like Shifu Beginning in a Japanesestyle room. The receptionist was lovely, even returning our shoes to us after we forgot them! I cannot stress enough how useful this location is as an affordable option right next to the monkey park.

The notary is called a hostel, but the building appears to be an older Roman style hotel that is just in need of maintenance and upgrading, so it operates under hostel prices. The only youthful aspects were the young but very kind staff and the relaxed common area, but the rest was as luxurious as youd expect anywhere else. For around fraud, we had a private tatami room with a separate sitting area, toilet, tatami bedding and a kotatsu, access to a downstairs bathroom and wonderful indoor outdoor outlook which we were worried about after reading some of the reviews, but it was perfect. I was looking at facilities like this in other beginning towns for hundreds of dollars so I was really happy about this experience.

We're all looking forward to our future visit to the roman after three wonderful days there. Our four-member family was so well-welcomed by Disuse and his excellent employees, who were incredibly helpful throughout our stay from taking us to Yudanaka Station to visit the atm during business hours to picking us up from the monkey park to assisting us with the local bus schedule! If you want to experience traditional Japanese culture, this is an excellent location! At first, our kids were confused by the futons, but we all thought this experience was the highlight of our trip to Japan and we all preferred Koishiya Roman to our 4 star hotel in Tokyo! If you have a preference for pillows, you should bring your own since they also provide a small bowl of packed rice. Also be aware that some rooms lack locks, so if you are concerned about leaving valuables, either leave them out or request a room with a locking door. We had a fantastic time at the snow monkey park and a fantastic cultural experience. The Roman staff was patiently explaining initiation etiquette to us novices, and we had a fantastic experience at the shiva international ski school at Okushiga, which was close to the Roman but well worth it. If you request in advance, they might even pick you up in the morning only 40 minutes by car. Have fun at Yamanouchi!

Shimmy has everything you need for your stay in Yudanaka and more. My Youto is the most amazing host. He is very eager to help your trip go as smoothly as possible and makes sure you see the snow monkeys. His restaurant recommendation was absolutely delicious. He is also extremely helpful in planning trips, train and bus times etc. Nothing is too much trouble even things you didn't know you wanted! Our room was Japanese style 8 tatami mats comfortable and clean. We had the onset baths to ourselves lovely! Breakfast was a true Japanese treat a great way to start the day. Arigato!.

I suggest this place to stay! We stayed here to see snow monkeys and enjoy them. It's a great place to do both! However, our daughter got sick from the flu. The staff were very kind to her. She called the doctor, drove us to the doctor, the pharmacy, and back to the roman. They bought her special food and drinks!

The room here was nice and clean, the decoration here was Japanese. The set here was really good and you could smell the sulfur and it was perfect after a day of hiking in the nearby mountains
