The bar is a funky little place, with cozy seating and fair food. I appreciate Kelvin behind the desk for making our visit so enjoyable. Will return. We had a good time here. Private rooms, shared restrooms, male and female showers. To check in, there are stairs down to the restaurantbar, and up to your room. Uncomfortable beds, but the showers were great!

I could say it was during peak season. I have no problems using the single elevator. The bath and toilet are separated. A clean room with amenities. Kurashiki station and the outlet mall were close by. Jikan's historical district was close by. The dark carpet made the corridor dark. The color is lighter but more difficult to maintain.

When I first visited Europe, 20 years ago, I stayed at numerous hostels. However, I had never toured Japan to a hostel. I most frequently remain in hotels these days, however, in Kurashiki, I had trouble finding one during the cherry blossom season because there are many local visitors in Kurashiki in spring, so I explored hostel cure Kurashiki. I booked a room with two single beds, but I couldn't get an ensure room. So, we had to use a shared shower toilet. This was a very scary situation for me before my trip. Yet, the shared toilet was excellent! I'm not sure if all hostels in Japan are the same, but they had quite clean shower rooms with everything you needed, including shampoo, conditioner, facial foam, and a hair dryer for you to use. We returned to Kurashiki in spring once more, and this time we managed to reserve an assurance room, which was perfect. They serve a delicious Japanese western breakfast at the caesar every morning for 500 yen. Because of their poor english speakers, I was unable to interact with the hostel personnel, but it was still acceptable. At the conclusion of my second stay at the hostel, I noticed they hired a guy who spoke both English and Japanese well, so maybe this won't be an issue anymore.

Ive tried to thoroughly enjoy my time at this location, but a few flaws have been unpleasant to me during our stay. The staff at checkout were too cool to be true because they only went through the procedure as robots without offering any kind of warm greetings, which to me is a big no given that Japanese are known for their hospitality excellence omotenashi. The girl who showed us to our room was also a nice type of person who didnt say a word to us and was just like a robot moving around in a wheel. Having said that the breakfast bar and checkout the next morning were much better as they were greeting us with a smile and providing far better service. The cleanliness of the room we stayed in was a major drawback because I could see dust all over the furniture throughout the room. Dust covered the air conditioner, door frames, lamps, and windows silly. This once more shocked us as weve stayed in many Japanese hotelshostels where cleanliness is always the top priority and we never found any dirty rooms. But this room changes everything and we were really disappointed and dumbfounded why the room was not kept clean to a certain standard. Overall, I believe this place is nice and fashionable and has some nice designs throughout the interior. But from my experience, I wouldnt recommend this place to my friends and family as I always evaluate cleanliness and service above the appearance and feel of

On my way to Takamatsu, I spent one night in Kurashiki. I arrived quite late, but despite having a nice bar downstairs, where you may also check in and out. This place is quite atmospheric and peaceful. The girls dormitory was extremely comfortable, it's more like you have your own little room, the upper pods have real stairs to climb up to them rather than a ladder. There is a curtain in front of every pod entrance, which gives you a lot of privacy in contrast to the curtain for the external window, which isn't facing my bed. However, I did overlook a refrigerator in the modest common room, where the kitchen equipment appeared to be incredibly limited. It is in a wonderful location close to the old quarter. I went for lunch at the Mamakaritei, where they only serve the renowned sardines with their most expensive menu selection, but it was well worth it. I visited several attractions, the Ohana Museum of Art, but I skipped the western part and enjoyed the Asian section. A hall that has a garden view was also accessible in the morning. You can order tea at the nearby library, but if you remember correctly, you can get it served in the teahouse with a garden view if you like old pictures of the region's industrial heritage, this is a lovely stop. If you love old photographs of

We had a great experience at this Kurashiki hotel. The hotel is a minute's walk from or Kurashiki train station and the front desk staff are very friendly. We rented bikes from a bike rental shop next to the train station and explored the nearby shopping arcade and the Kikan historical area. This historical area is a great place to shop local and eat local and enjoy the peaceful canal setting.
