The hotel is located in the area of the zoo ski resort directly next to the ropeway station. It's convenient for skiing. The food is average. The staff is very friendly. Quite away from yamagata city. There is an outdoor bath in the room.

The internet images appeared to be good. I had high hopes for a tasty beginning and kiseki cuisine. The accommodation looks more like a business hotel than anything else, but hey, we did. The initial comes out fine, but it's not extraordinary. The dinner was excellent, the food was fresh, the beer cold, and the sake was delicious. Now comes the bug in the ointment. Despite the fact that I was talking and commenting on the meals during dinner and more specifically during breakfast, the waiter, the waiter, minamisan kept speaking to my Japanese associate rather than me. Ditto with eye contact. I loathe it to the core. I don't like special treatment, but it is a situation that never fails to frustrate me after 30 years in Japan. Being a ghost. The end result? I was hungry and unable to enjoy breakfast as I had anticipated. Poor taxi for waiter training. Its these tiny details that make for excellent or bad memories.

The rooms were quite large compared to other places weve stayed in not only Japan but other countries. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The staff was incredibly nice and friendly, answering all our boring annoying questions about Japan with a lot of enthusiasm. The location was perfect, 2 minute walk to the ski shop and ski lifts. Looking forward to returning when we return to Japan, hopefully this time in the spring.

The room was spotless overall. This hotel is really lovely. Although it does not ski out, it takes just 30 meter to walk across the street from the front door before you can put your skis on, due to its proximity to a few ski lifts. A substantial enough size for us was a combined Western and Japanese room. The mattresses were cozy and werent too hard, as often occurs with Japanese mattresses. The usual molded showercabin-style shower cabana sported by Toto is in the bathroom, and they are of a fair size but not too big. A separate toilet is a nice feature. The space was spotless. Breakfast was provided buffetstyle and generally good, however, sausages and scrambled eggs were given warm or drier for some reason, as is often the case with Japanese breakfast buffets. Im not sure why. A few of the front desk employees spoke adequate English, and the staff was excellent and accommodating. Skis and boards are accessible through storage lockers on the ground floor. For those who smoke outdoors, there is an indoor smoking area. Although it isnt huge, the onsite start is pleasant. Although the hotel is at one end of the city, it takes an 800 meters to get to the main street. There are a few cafesandrestaurants along the street that goes through town. Wi-Fi is provided and works fine. Although the
