【Accommodation Tax】
Effective from October 1, 2018, according to local tax regulation, guests should pay the accommodation tax directly to the property upon check-in
・Accommodation of JPY 19,999 or less: JPY 200 per person per night
・Accommodation from JPY 20,000 to JPY 49,999: JPY 500 per person per night
・Accommodation from JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000 per person per night
When booking more than 5 rooms, different policies and additional supplements may apply

As of 1 March 2026, changed local tax regulations require guests to pay accommodation tax at updated rates, which will be collected separately by the property during the check-in process. The tax is determined by the room rate and is charged per person, per night, as follows: 

【Accommodation tax through 28 February 2026】  
For room rates less than JPY 20,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 500   
For room rates of JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000  

【Accommodation tax from 1 March 2026, onwards】  
For room rates less than JPY 6,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400  
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 1,000   
For room rates from JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000 
For room rates of JPY 100,000 or more: JPY 10,000   

For the purposes of the accommodation tax, the term “accommodation fee” will refer to the room-only rate, excluding any meal charges and consumption tax.
