The hotel felt like a lodge with its painted beams and wood floors. The staff was skilled and one employee spoke some English. The pool and sauna were enjoyable for the family and they rented some blowup flotation discs for the younger children to use because there is no shallow end. The restaurant served delicious food and the free breakfast had a variety of dishes. Mountains and trees feel very close. It was still winter, but there is a playground for children and an outdoor cafe overlooking the lake that would be really nice in the warmer months. One part of shchuchinsk becomes a little rough. Even though there are many signs pointing in the direction of the hotel, it is also difficult to find what to go. The hotel is in a national park, so be ready to pay the park service an entry fee. The restaurant waiter disappeared for 20 minutes when I was ready to pay.

The hotel is situated in a lovely area with a beautiful view of the lake. Although it is quite far from major highways or towns, it's not a problem, and you'll enjoy the serene atmosphere. The cost of a standard room is ok considering the hotel's conditions. It requires a thorough restoration both exterior and interior. The rooms are spacious, but it appears that the proprietor has just finished a huge event, so he did not have the time to renovate. Having said that, I still have to admit that everything is clear but seems very outdated, and not everything works properly, particularly in the bathroom. We were able to arrange an early checkup thanks to the hotel staff's nice and policy. The restaurant staff is also extremely friendly and helpful, but not always. The food is satisfactory, tasty, but nothing remarkable. The spa area is clean and free for visitors, but a few minor repairs are necessary.

For those of you who want to discover the Bolognese region in the winter, this place is ideal. The location, as many have said, is probably the best you can find. It's also a fantastic value for money, especially for foreigners since the tenge fell half in the last 23 years. The staff is incredibly courteous and supportive, a stark contrast to the one in 2015 when we last stayed there. Yet, the facilities require repair. Having said that, given the nearby rios charging twice as much, it is not a complaint. All breakfasts that are spotless and good include beds, duvets, and room temperature. The breakfast was poor and there were lots of carbs and virtually no greens and vegetables. The worst thing was that guests had to rise early to claim their portion of breakfast. Those who awoke early would be competing for leftovers. My suggestion to the owner, who appears to be taking visitors' feedback seriously, is that he consider investing in refurbishment toiletsshowers should receive the most attention as they need to replace the buffet breakfast with portions. The standard approach among small european hotels is the buffet breakfast and includes more greens and legs salads, broccoli, beans, cucumbers, paprika, etc.

The good things about this hotel are the location, the nice view of the lake and it's surroundings, and you can drink on the terrace facing the mountains. The room was clean and neat with good service. You can walk around the lake or just watch the lake from your room. But no English channel.
