We are in Hang Garden right now. This hotel is very good for its cheap price. But the best part is the staff. I only come down with one question and ended up having the best conversations with staff member mat. He gave us the best tips for all kinds of things to do in the area, things we otherwise would never know. Also he arranged a Kinabatangan tour for the best price. What an amazing man.

For the price, this hotel is a good place to stay for a budget backpacker like me. The location, however, is a bit far from the city center, making it not very convenient. Fortunately, you can book a grab car directly through your phone app or ask the reception to call you a taxi, making it easier to get around. There is absolutely nothing in the area where this hotel is located, so no need to walk around here. To shop for food, it is best to go to the city center. There is a Chinese restaurant across the hotel, but they are not proficient in English and the food is not very good. As for the room, I stayed in a standard room for three nights. This was excellent value for the price. It is quite large, but it did smell funny mudden, and on my last night, the bathroom sink plumbing started leaking. When I checked out very early the next morning, I informed the reception. The room's WiFi worked well. There is an onsite restaurant, but it didn't appear to be fully open, so they would just bring the food to my room for breakfast. The front desk staff was helpful because they booked the Kinabatangan River day trip for me and gave me tips on how to visit Sepilok on my own.

The rooms were good size and clean, with good air conditioning and a to. WiFi was a bit weak. The travel desk was very helpful! Assisted us in arranging future travel and gave us good advice on what to do in Sandman. In situ restaurants have good juice. There are a few other local restaurants, stores and laundry services near by. Not long to animal conservation projects.

Stayed here for 1 night and it was good. The nice reception staff, WiFi was good. Air conditioning was cold and easy to use. Sandman town is only 10 minutes away and the restaurants nearby are very cheap. Will stay here again if we will go back
