The hotel is beautiful, and the staff is very friendly. The location is also strategic, and within walking distance, you can find good food. I will come back if i visit penang again.

We stayed there for 4 days 3 nights for our anniversary. The hotel staff were very nice and thoughtful. Albert, David and Chris made sure we were well taken care of. They were very polite and professional. The surroundings are quiet at night to ensure a good sleep. The hotel itself is amazingly photogenic and elegantly fragrant. The room was very comfortable. I have chronic insomnia but i slept like a baby for all 3 nights. I highly recommend it and thank you all for your hospitality.

Overall, it was still a pleasant stay. The hotel was in a great location, close to many attractions. Albert was excellent and always recommended places to go. However, the rooms lacked necessities like a kettle or refrigerator, and some amenities were a bit outdated. The walls had cracks, and the cupboard drawers were ruined. Note that this is also opposite a food garden where live performances are held, and soundproofing is not the best, so light sleepers should be advised.

The hotel is in a lovely boutique style. There is a pool and a lounge area with free snacks, soft drinks, and wine for an hour in the evening. The rooms are large. The staff is very nice and kind. Albert really explained the history of the hotel and the places to go nearby. The karaoke starts singing around 8 pm to right before midnight. The karaoke is tolerable, but what is worse is the foot steps from the stairs and upstairs. Every time someone walked down the stairs, it sounded like elephants stomping. Oh, and if you have a child staying above you on the second floor, constant noise. No restaurants or room service, but this is also fine because penang offers so many amazing cheap food. No power outlet near the sink or bed. So if you want to style or dry your hair at night, you have to do it at the desk. To be honest, if you request a room on the second floor all the way to the back, noise wont be an issue. Avoid the front rooms because of the karaoke, which is where checkin happens, and especially the rooms next to the stairs. The rooms on the right side of the hotel are generally louder because the pool is right there. I will stay here again as long as i can request a room on the second floor and in the back.

This is a hidden gem! This is my first time staying here and i was pleasantly surprised by how wonderful the place is. Our room is spacious and the facilities are very nice. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. We were shown around the hotel and given a map of guantan and recommendations for places to go and places to eat! They always make sure we are well and happy! The location is definitely strategic as it is walking distance to almost all tourist attractions and the best restaurants, bars and cafes in town. My only suggestion to the hotel is to consider providing earplugs in the rooms if guests want to use them because there is construction going on next door and the bar opposite and next to the hotel have live music until midnight.

I cant say enough good things about this amazing hotel! What a place. The staff, decor, service, location, food, atmosphere were perfect to me. I have to thank a special thank you to adalbert tan operations manager he is an absolute credit to the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble he helped arrange a balloon birthday surprise for our arrival and recommended all the places we should visit during our time in penang and they were all great. The rooms are a great size, with plenty of storage and nice amenities in each room. My favorite part of the hotel was the open lobby and the pool. Its so relaxing and pleasing to the eye, the interiors are very beautiful and its great to see such a beautiful building being used as a hotel. We had a free glass of wine and cheese every evening and it was a really nice addition to our stay. The hotel felt very safe, there is security at the gate to let you in and out of the hotel at a certain time. Breakfast was also delicious. I had eggs most mornings but it was just right enough to set you up for a day of exploring. Hopefully the pictures ive included speak for themselves, but if you are in penang, you must stay here. You wont regret it, the only thing we regret is not having more time to spend here. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, one that i will never forget.

The hotel staff was fantastic! They provided excellent recommendations for restaurants, attractions, and shopping. Breakfast and an evening class of wine were included during the stay. The staff is very attentive, the rooms are spacious and wellappointed. Chris and Albert were very helpful!.

The historic structure has been beautifully restored. Excellent service the staff is truly outstanding and has an excellent eye for detail. There is a lounge with indoor and outdoor seating. Foc snacks and soft drinks, including fruit juices, milk, and yogurt, are available. The cooked breakfast was quite simple, you could have two eggs to your liking. There is a wide variety of bread options to choose from. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. Electrical plugs by the bed were in slightly challenging locations. The location is fantastic, although the hawker center across the street plays some cabaret music quite loudly into the evening, earplugs are provided. The pool is a little chilly and would be ideal for a lap swimmer. I would definitely stay again.

I will definitely return here. A very special thank you to aston, faz, and david for their attention and the little conversational connections. Such a lovely, cozy heritage hotel. The space is thoughtfully designed, with a lounge that everyone can use. The highlight of my stay here was the staffs kindness and helpfulness. Their warmth and hospitality are unparalleled, even in any of the 5 to 6 star hotels. Service is sincere, and they go out of their way to assist all guests even after checkout time.

The renovations and renovations of what was once a hotel and a mansion have been done with style and imagination. Edison has style without flash. During my 5 night stay, the staff were very polite and helpful.

The hotel is absolutely fantastic, offering everything you could possibly need for a quick getaway. I heartily suggest this hotel to everyone who wants to have an exclusive experience. This hotel is unexpectedly lovely. A lovely mansion, with a room that is both roomy and tastefully furnished. I spent a few hours at the lounge area, which is open around the clock. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, and they are incredibly helpful in suggesting delicious meals for us in the vicinity. They are even going so far as to make a cake for my mother for her birthday. This hotels location is excellent because it is close to all the best restaurants and cafes, all within walking distance. Parking is an issue around the nearby shophouses.
