Everything at the resort surpassed our expectation. We stayed in one of the over-water sunrise rooms and snorkeled off our back deck 3 times per day. Massive schools of fish, nurse sharks, sting rays all within 30 feet of our room. We also took a separate snorkel trip to a nearby island which was also spectacular. The room, bathroom and the completely-private-deck were all huge. We also checked out the other beachside rooms which also looked great. Meals and service in the main restaurant and the two specialty restaurants were fantastic. The general manager meets each arrival group and also stopped by to talk/check in periodically during our stay. Don't be put off by the need to take a sea plane to reach the resort. While it's an added cost, it was a great part of the overall experience - flying over the many atolls on the trip in and out was gorgeous and added an adventure/remoteness element. The beach cruiser bikes that come with each room also added to the fun. Lastly we thought the staff was terrific. Just the right mix of providing all the attention needed without being intrusive. We felt very fortunate to have chosen the Fairmont.

It's very new hotel with excellent management and very friendly staff. 240 kilometers from Male airport. Only one flaw - the last leg from Male to hotel is unpredictable, because seaplanes don't have schedule. You can easily loose 5-6hours waiting seaplane at Male after arriving and before outgoing international flight. Hotel doesn't have lounge at Male for waiting. Villas are very big, with pools and very private. Water, sun, great weather, one of the best breakfast and very nice stuff

The Bungalow is amazing. It has an amazing Resort. In general, it is unfortunate that the service and cuisine do not live up to the Fairmount brand's expectations. The airport's reception and check-in were excellent. The petite Indian woman was great forget her name and the Ibrahim koko was a star. The customer service was incredible that made our trip start and end memorable and lived up to Fairmount's reputation. We stayed in an overrated bungalow. Everything was perfect, with a really lovely layout, roomy, and roomy. Our time in our private villa and pool was really enjoyable. The bikes you could use to go around the island were also wonderful. Butler service was inconsistent. I would have preferred to have a handle on things myself rather than having to worry about the butler would do it. A few instances the butler was late or unresponsive. The specialty restaurants, Azure and Katana japanese, both had delicious food of Michelin star quality, which was very enjoyable. The fresh fruit, desserts, pastries, and curries were the best part of the kara buffet, which was at best average in every way. Everything needed to be done to remove the fly from the food: just cover it or have other meals ready to order. The bbd seafood buffet was a disaster, and when we spoke with breeze she was

Thank you for your prompt service at the airport. The small Indian woman was outstanding forget her name and the ibrahim koko. Exceptionally high service that topped the fairmount brand and made our trip from beginning to end memorable. The bungalow where we stayed was overcrowded. Very pleasant layout and space, and everything was perfect. We really enjoyed hanging out in our own bungalow and pool. Additionally, it was nice to have bicycles you could use to explore the island. Butler service was inconsistent. I would have preferred to make a reservation for something myself rather than having to worry about whether the butler would do it. There were numerous instances when the butler wasn't around, or it was simply late. The speciality restaurants, azure and katana japanese, both served excellent food that was really enjoyable and Michaelin Star. At kara buffet, the food was the finest, with fresh fruit, desserts, pastries, and curries. Because the cocktails weren't properly mixed and didn't taste delicious, something must be done to address all the bugs on the food. We spoke with breeze and she was very awesome, she listened to our feedback, and arranged for a very fantastic seafood dinner at Azure. I went to Fairmount with my two young children, ages 4 and 7. Any parent who thinks it's too far or not worth the task is entirely wrong. Ok, the journey is long, but it's well worth it for my kids, who were so excited about it on the outbound and back journey so they were so sad to leave! I was lucky enough to have been to the Maldives before without kids and have stayed in some of the other lovely 5 hotels. I did lots of research into where to stay because it had to be about them as much as my holiday with small children and my trip had to be about them. I choose a new place for us all to visit because it ticked all the boxes with the location being a bit remote, the incredible house reef, the choices of restaurants, and the wonderful kids club. We were also welcomed by a few hours later to go to the main airport, where we were given access to the lovely children's room, and we were given a tote bag and to fill with things we needed. Our wonderful butler, jonah, is also my saving grace for the entire week. She is to be courteous and understand that the current direction can be extremely challenging and that we must be patient. I traveled to Fairmount with my two young children, ages four and seven. Any single parent who is thinking that it's too far or not worth the mission is completely wrong. Ok, the journey is long but well worth it, my kids were great and enjoyed the adventure both on the outbound and return journey, although it was very sad that they had to leave! I'm lucky enough to have been to the Maldives before without children and have stayed at several other lovely 5 hotels. I set off a lot of research in terms of where to stay as much as I needed to take a break. The new ocean plane terminal lounge ticked all the boxes with its somewhat remote location, the incredible house reef, the variety of restaurants, and the amazing kids club. We were whisked off to the new ocean plane lounge, where we were given codes to use for their internet and a lovely space to unwind and stretch our legs while we waited for the other passengers on their international flights. I was not really pleased with this news, but luckily he set up my phone to retrieve a frank trip with us for the week. If you need to swim in the sea, get your swimmers and waterproof if they are the same and you need to be patient.
