Excellent value for money. Located in the Medina, and only a short stroll from souls. Very nice concierge. Very tidy and clean, with a local and traditional design. A neat and interesting read. Stylish for a three-star read. I've stayed there quite a bit. Although the information here said July 2017 scroll down does not allow inserting the correct date.

Traveling with a friend. If you choose to stay in Marrakech and experience the ambiance of everyday life, staying at the Read Dar Essay is a wonderful experience. Some people claim it is in a very labirinthic area of the Medina, but being in the Medina is like that, or you just choose an international hotel in hibernate or palmeraie and use a taxi. You also want to go to Gamma El Faa for delicious orange juice, staying there melts you with Marachi friendly people. Simon at the Read is a very friendly person and welcomes you with a nice smile. Everyone is very kind and not intrusive. I would like to mention the graciousness of the lady who cooked our lovely meals, even if I cant recall her name. Try eating at the Read if you want to sample real mariachi cuisine. The cuisine is excellent and not overtly crafted. One evening, we had the lovely opportunity to enjoy rose petals on our dinner table. Breakfast is very nice, but not too good for the real orange juice. It is a pity that there are so many oranges in Marrakech. I'll undoubtedly return, simon.

Had a wonderful 12 days at the Read Dar Ransom. The read was fantastic and the food was amazing. I recommend this site to anyone looking for a different kind of holiday in the ancient city of Medina.

We booked a transfer from the hotel, but because the driver could not find the read, we spent an hour searching for it with two locals. No one answered the phone, and our trip got off to a terrible start. But once we were there, we were pleasantly surprised by the location, down a maze of alleyways that all looked pretty dismal. I was created by the owner and provided a welcome mint tea. Our room was immaculately clean. We weren't too worried about the lack of locks on doors, but I would have been worried if others were there because our door was left wide open every day by the cleaner. Breakfast was modest but adequate, with lots of tea and coffee. We booked one trip through the owner, which was more expensive than others on the trip paid because they were baffled with the organisers, so we would advise checking out prices first. However, the owner was very kind to make a few phone calls on our behalf as we don't speak Arabic or French and followed up a query without our prompt. If there is a group of you and you want to see real Marrakech, this read is cheap and clean. Personally I felt intimidated walking the route to the main shopping area, maybe because it was December and there weren't many tourists, we were a bit of a target for the locals who redirected us the
