The hotel has the perfect location: you can watch the elephants bathing from your balcony. Also staff is super very friendly and arrange everything. I warmly recommend the rhino lounge!

Endroit calme et paisible. Chambre très confortable donnant sur un magnifique jardin. Bonne nourriture et un service impeccable! Bain des éléphants dans la rivière tous les matin juste en face de l'hôtel.

Took canoe trip, elephant ride, all day jeep ride and jungle walk. Saw rhino and lots of deer and birds. Good local food, cultural dances. Raj, the concierge, was great arranging everything, including ride to airport.

Great stay! Spent two nights at the Rhino Lodge and was very impressed. This is a family establishment so I really appreciated the personalized attention and care. An example of this is when, upon check-in I was told of the resident rhino who often appears on the property. I told the manager to by all means call me since it was my great goal to see as much wildlife as possible during my short stay. Went out to get a bite to eat (many options up and down the street) and returned to see the manager in front of the property looking for me. Our eyes met and he came over to me, told me about the rhino (grazing outside my window no less!) and hurried me over to the beautiful anima. I truly appreciate his thoughtfulness in making this episode of my trip a memorable one. The property is gorgeous and abuts a river where lucky guests can spot amazing animals. Across the river lies the Chitwan preserve, home to spotted deer, rhinos, crocodiles, etc. Breakfast was perfect – loved my huge plate of delicious fruit salad – a great way to start a day in the wild. I also appreciated the hot shower and air conditioning - a great way to end a day in the wild!

Rhino Lodge is a perfect location in which to stay in Chitwan. I stayedfir3 nights. It is right by the river and close to the lovely riverside restaurants ( beware of crocs!). Rooms were nice and clean, staff friendly and overall wS good value for money.

Had a good stay. Hotel location is good. Staff is friendly and hotel manager, Mr Rajesh was great. Very customer oriented. Hotel is value for money. All activities was organised by Mr Rajesh in a matter of minutes. Shower and toilet in my room was very clean and modern. Bed and linen was clean. Tv channels was not great though, but this is ok at such location and theme. Also, ac and electricity was limited, ie not available 24 hr. Peaceful basic nice place!

We arrived after a week's trekking a couple of nights stay in Pokhara. Was most impressed with the bathroom (which anyone travelling in Nepal will do after a short while!) which was spacious, super clean, and very nice. The room was fine, beds (generally in Nepal) were hard but comfortable and air con worked well when there was electricity, otherwise used the fan in room which can be operated off the hotel's generator. Friendly, helpful staff throughout and Rajesh on front reception was particularly smiley. It was my birthday when I was there and we came back from a mornings walking/ canoe safari to find balloons and flowers strewn over the room which was incredibly sweet. By Nepali standards this was a pleasant, peaceful, clean place to rest and plan activities from. There is no hard sell from the hotel staff although they can organise everything for you and do it well - would definitely recommend them.

Please note that my review is relative to the area, surrounding hotels, and type of vacation/activity. The staff is polite and helpful. We stayed at the renovated room, which was very clear and insect free (very rare in the middle of the jungle). The location is convenient and very close to the national park (3 minute walk). Breakfast was not bad which is key when you have a long and active day ahead of you :-)

This was my 1st hotel booking through expedia.co.in and I thank expedia for their genuine assessment and also the customer support. Decision to book a hotel was rather quick. The hotel experience was amazing. The owner of the hotel was so nice that build my itinerary for my entire stay at Nepal. He even book my stay at his hotel (Hotel Crown Himalaya) at Pokhara, which I believe to be one of the nicest hotel in terms of hospitality and ambiance. The staff in the hotel would help you in all your needs like booking tickets, passes. I would recommend this hotel

I have stayed here with my family. The MD (Mr. Kamal Aryal) of the hotel is very co operative person. The hotel location is very good. The standard rooms are on ground floor and according to me does not worth the tariff in terms of interiors and cleanliness. Deluxe rooms are good but costly. In 50% less than these rates we got better rooms at Pokhara at excellent location of Phewa lake. My expectations from this property were higher. The staff is over all good. One problem in chitwan I noticed is there is lot of discrepancy in rates they offer for various activites and bus tickets they book. For the jeep safari I inquired both in hotel (Rs. 2000 per person) and out side of hotel (Rs. 1500 per person) and inspite of higher rate from hotel I decided to book with hotel not to take chance as I was traveling with wife and son. However all bookings were with third party who took us to jeep safari. On the same day of reaching I requested reception (Mr. Rajesh) to book bus ticket for Kathmandu and front seats to avoid last seats. He charged rs. 700 per person, (rates from out side agents were rs.500), but to be safer side i booked through hotel. On day of departure driver of hotel came to drop us at bu park and he was not aware of our bus company. After tossing our luggage from one bus to another he got us to right bus and he paid the bus person rs.500 per person only. He did not book in advance. Just book everything from outside on your own.

There was no phone or TV in the room as it was mentioned in our booking. The room did not have a functioning AC and at night we almost froze to death. Since the resort is right next the lake, it gets very cold between 2-5 am. I had to walk to the reception more than 5 times for someone to come and take a look at the AC. Their breakfast was pathetic, they need to stop serving it if they cannot service proper food. It consisted of corn flakes, cold omlettes and rotten bananas. The location of the hotel is good since its the middle of the touristy area in Sauraha and has good shops, bars, eating joints, etc. near it.
