The owner was really kind to me and my son, the cleanliness of the room was very good and nothing that I needed was a problem. It can also be used as a place for self catering when needed, smart and comfy bed. I will surely come back to stay here again.

Overall it was fine but felt pricey. The unit was large, warm, quiet, well-equipped, and in a convenient location. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It was nice to have a separate bedroom. Unfortunately, the bathroom let the place down. The toilet, basin towels were all good, but the shower cubicle was mouldy and old. Parking on the property was very tight, so it might be better to park on the street if you can. We would have struggled to get our car out if we didn't have a reversing camera.

Overall a very average motel for the price we paid. The decor is old, the fridge doesn't close properly, and parking is quite difficult. Clean and very comfortable. The bathroom needs updating, and the bathtub looks very rotten. Very nice proprietors, friendly and helpful.

In colonial for the long queen's birthday weekend, we stayed for three nights. The excellent owners-managers, Anthony and Noel, as I concur with other criticisms. Our visit was made unforgettable by their friendly service and comfortable bed. The incredibly busy road did not generate loud traffic noise. Our scrumptious continental breakfast was wonderful, and we particularly enjoyed the delectable breakfast. It was a plus that the smart to was added to the newly completed interior of our upstairs room. I appreciated the location on the lake terrace, where you could walk across the street to the stunning lake taupe. We had excellent weather, as there were so many people on vacation and the atmosphere was heightened.

The colonial was a clean, comfortable, and convenient motel in Taupe. Across the street from the lake and a short walk into the township, it was pretty quiet even though it was on a main road. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the parking, not suitable for big vehicles. Good value for money.
