I would strongly recommend this place to you guys. We stayed on the farm for the night on our way from Dunedin to Stewart Island. The location is ideal to break up the journey, but once here, we wish we had more time. We arrived later than we had planned and were up and out the next day early, so only got to chat to Grant and Alison over breakfast. However, they were really nice people and made us feel very welcome. I could have spent hours simply talking about the farm and family. The room was beautiful, very comfortable and warm, and the breakfast was fantastic with homemade muesli, homemade jams, and bread I would have sworn it was homemade, but Alison, to her credit, said no because it's vowels.

On our way back from a trip to calling and the south coast of the South Island, we stayed here for one night. Our host and hostess were really friendly and accommodating to our needs. We had use of the kitchen in the evening and a very good continental breakfast was provided. The room was wonderful, located adjacent to but separated from the main house. The bed was comfortable.

On our return from a journey to the calling and the southern coast of the south island, we stayed here for one night. The room was excellent, connected to but separate from the main house. The bed was comfortable. Our host and hostess were extremely friendly and accommodating in meeting our requirements. But they were really nice people and made us feel really welcome we could have stayed there for hours just talking about the farm and family! The room was beautiful, so cozy and warm, and the breakfast was fantastic with homemade muesli, homemade jams, and bread I would have sworn was homemade too but Alison, to her credit, said no, vowels. Highly recommend staying here!.
