The room was typical of its kind, clean, and had a nice shower. There is a lot of space for parking. The check-in time was very late at 4 or 5 in the afternoon, so I had to sit around for a while, but there was access to a lounge, so waiting wasn't an issue. Breakfast was good and included in the room rate.

This hostel has nothing wrong with it, and we had a lovely night's sleep in a double room with a beautiful view of the fjord. Also, the breakfast was good. However, the location seems a touch worn out, hence the average rating. We did reserve a private bedroom in addition, but no one was available when we arrived, so we were given one with shared amenities. All in all, good to have a room during the mole jazz festival, so we didn't make a fuzz. It takes about two am or 20 minutes to walk to the city center.

The service here was very pleasant, especially for the wait staff and the room and the shower that were located by the hallway. The shower and shared toilet were also clean and didn't require any waiting time. The room has a sink with a mirror and a sink with a mirror inside it. The breakfast was amazing, it was served in another building the next morning, with the free parking facility. There's a free bathroom, but the common shower was not there.

Summer seasonal hostel operates in one block of the folkehgskole at the western end of the city and overlooks the fjord. Different types of accommodation available including dorms and single rooms at quite reasonable rates. Modern purpose built apartment block. Clean comfortable rooms and a large common room on the ground floor with free waffles. Small common areas and limited kitchen facilities on each floor. Good breakfast served in a large refractory in an adjacent building. Staff friendly, efficient and helpful. Lots of parking space. Pleasant stay. Recommended.
