We had a wonderful time at the stunning Eco Horqueta because this was a unique activity and an immersion event. Lordraine and Poodle, two of the chefs, designed a menu, prepared the ingredients, and then taught us the culinary skills to make a delicious meal. Three different types of homemade pasta were prepared with three simple but delicious sauces. We enjoyed this unique meal by candlelight, with a view of the mountains of bouquet, Panama. This was a memorable and enriching experience from start to finish. We plan to return and urge everyone visiting this delightful location to leave a day or longer to meet the excellent crew at Eco Horqueta and attend a unique event.

My husband and I had a great three-day stay at Eco Horqueta. Lorry, Marlin, and Maria Jesus have created a retreat-like center in a natural paradise. No electricity in the cabins, family-style gourmet meals if you want, and on-site yoga make eco Horqueta a spot to unplug from stress and plug into yourself and relationships with others. We did two of the offered excursions, and we enjoyed the chance to see the area and hike. We wish we had planned for another couple of days. The cats are adorable, and the dogs are well-behaved.

The women in this hotel are fantastic. I cannot speak highly enough about them. This location has been built from the ground up, and it stands out. They are ecoconscious, and they built it on a piece of land with an ideal view of volcano bar from your room. Lorraine is a skilled chef, and her mother provides the most amazing coffee tour from start to finish, you make your own coffee. They were very helpful, driving us everywhere we needed to go, taking us hiking, and demonstrating how living in bouquet was truly like. Its rustic and the perfect escape from the city. You must stay with these ladies, they will be the reason you return to Bouquet.

All at Eco Horqueta was fantastic. Although it may not be for everyone, it is precisely as it describes itself, so if it intrigues you, I guarantee you'll appreciate it. The room was lovely and spotless, with wonderful views, there is no electricity down there, which is part of the point of it, and it was a wonderful spot to unwind and get away from it all. There are some wonderful short walks on the grounds. The communal area was pleasant, and we loved hanging out with the cats and dogs while we charged our phones and used the lights to see for a few hours a day the generator is turned on. The meal, however, is the main attraction. Because youll pay more in town, which is an effort to get there, and I guarantee that whatever you eat there will not be as delicious as what lorraine is making on-site, I suggest eating there every evening. On the other evenings, we ate again with other guests. Theres a truly unique property and experience, so be kind and do not take the mick, as she is such a charming person. We were the only visitors dining there on our first night, and lorraine offered to transport us in town in time for tours and other activities, but she was too kind and wouldn't expect her to continue tagging you back and forth.
