This was my third visit 3 years running staying and diving at Blue Ribbon. They have everything right for a relaxed, but safe, diving vacation. The rooms are fine and everything is convenient. You walk a few meters from your room to eat and not many more to dive. The resort has a friendly family feel to it and the staff were all fabulous. The food is also excellent with lots of variety and its all cooked fresh. Portion sizes are good and prices are reasonable. We did 16 dives over 4 days and our guide Jeff Zapata was first class. I can't wait to visit again. Jon's super friendly dog ('mush') was a delight and it made our day the day he came with us on the boat diving. I look forward to returning soon. Keep up the good work team Blue Ribbon.

The resort is very comfortable and clean! Staff are very friendly helpful and good at what they do. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and will definitely visit again. I work in Manila so it is less than three hours from Manila to the resort.

I stayed 2 nights there. Friendly staff and the fantastic view of the resort as well as numerous food. I ordered several dishes and all are satisfying. I and my kid are not divers but had happy time there at the shore. One thing that needs to be corrected is the time of check out. The page at Hotels.com says it's 2p.m., but actually it is 12p.m. If you want the private picking up service, please contact to the resort. Thanks for all.

Professional dive masters for diving… wish them to complete their extension to have more rooms

We loved Blue Ribbon - a small hotel designed for divers. The diving was excellent and Jeff was a first class frogfish spotter (although we tried but ultimately failed to find a waddling one...). All the staff working at the hotel/dive centre were kind, friendly and hard-working. The rooms are basic but you have everything you need, and the bed was comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the food offered by the restaurant. For such a small hotel there really was an exceptionally large menu and everything we ate we would have re-ordered. We recommend.

Myself and my girlfriend have just stayed for 11 nights at Blue Ribbon Dive Resort in March 2023. Basic accommodation but with sunset views to die for each evening from the seawiew balcony. What a great place with fantastic diving every single day at so many different locations! Quite simply it is run by divers for divers. They have wonderful coral reef diving with exceptional sites, some just minutes from the resort, providing daily sea turtles, amazing brightly coloured nudibranch and sea creatures for macro photography. There is also a wreck dive or the beautiful Sombrero island that is sightly further away. Every dive instructor we had was so professional and knowledgeable, especially Jeff, Dang and Ogie. The office and bar staff were also friendly and extremely helpful when needed.  The resort has a first class local and international menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner with all meals cooked to order (a lot of the divers staying elsewhere would eat there before returning to their hotels). We would normally go out to eat in the evenings but there was simply no need to. They have some lovely, well looked after dogs It's fairly obvious that all of the Blue Ribbon staff are happy in their work, which is usually a very good sign, and this is one of the reasons that we will definitely be back again 😁

Friendly staff, good and big portion of food, free water, coffee and tea. The room is clean and big enough. The diving gear is in best condition. The knowledge of the divemasters is excellent. Im happy to choose Blue Ribbon for my holiday. Can only recommend for everyone.

המלון מרוחק מהעיר, הרבה מדרגות, צוות המלון ומועדון הצלילה מאוד נחמדים, מומלץ למי שרוצה שקט ולצלול

We stayed at BR for five nights. It’s definitely a good dive resort. We are snorkelers who snorkeled every day. The beach is pretty rocky so wear water shoes. The food was good. Lots of selections, and a very good selection of breakfast foods. We ate there every day. I would recommend most of the items we had, except maybe the Ceasars salad, the dressing was strong for me. And have your bread toasted if you get a sandwich. The beer was very cold. Good shakes. Ice bucket was provided if asked for. Two great waiters, Justin and Zed. The room was small, but luggage fit under the bed. We spent a lot of time on our balcony which was fantastic and overlooking the bay. Very comfortable chairs and table. That’s where we spent our time if we weren’t eating or snorkeling. Dave the front desk guy was very helpful. He helped me pay a bill from our last hotel that got overlooked by using g cash, which I do not have. The staff was great. Be prepared for a workout with the stairs, but the staff muscle helped with heavy luggage. Anilao town a ten minute drive. Paid cash at the end cause credit card reader wasn’t working. I thought our last bill was very reasonable. We ate and drank for five days and it was about $110 USD. We enjoyed our stay.

bel endroit pour un séjour plongée avec une équipe "diving" sympa. Bonne restauration sur place, chambre satisfaisante, climatisation bruyante mais fonctionnelle

There are 101 stairs from the road down to the resort, so if you have any problems with your legs, this place is not recommended. Down somewhat easier, but up.... Worst thing was that owners dogs and cats were all over and that was very annoying. One dog urinated on my bag on the floor at the table while we were eating. What kind of restaurang is this? Disgusting. Otherwise place was nice and staff friendly and professional.

The staff was friendly and helpful, but were talking loudly early in the morning right outside the guest rooms. We loved the deep pool. The roof had a leak and the restaurant menu didn’t have much variety. But the hotel allowed us to use snorkeling gear and arranged a nice boat trip for us. Beware you must be able to climb a long flight of stairs to go to and from the hotel!

A simple diver resort, which conveniently does single dives in the afternoon as well as double dives in the morning at a reasonable price. We have visited the area several times in the past, in this resort we did not feel particularly well, including after the dives (the reason is hard to pinpoint, may or may not have to do with the resort). Room 1 had some half-dead cockroaches crawling around. Otherwise, the dining area on the terrace is nice and serves good local dishes, including coconut-based curries. The aircon is not particularly strong but can cool the room down to 22-23C. Wifi is not bad most of the time.

Check-in: There’s a steep flight of stairs heading down to the resort. We tried the intercom to ask for assistance, but it wasn’t working. We eventually lugged down our own luggages. Upon checking-in, they only prepared one room instead of my two room booking. It was eventually resolved, but I was scared we wouldn’t have enough accommodations for a few minutes as it was a small resort with few rooms. Room: Pretty basic, but clean. What I didn’t like though was that we could hear the sounds of footsteps from the floor above us and there seems to be some cigarette smells coming in from somewhere. Property: Landscaping could be improved for a better vibe. A few more plants can go a long way. Seeing just a lot of soil looks kinda sad. Common areas are just okay. Wifi connection is on/off, but this is expected in the area. Food: Hit and Miss, I personally recommend the Tikka Masala, Fajitas, and Curries. Serving is quite big, can be shared by two in some instances. For breakfast, stick to the Filipino options or the omelette. I think some of the menu items are a bit overpriced. Dive Shop: Quite good and complete, price is competitive as well among the options in the area. They tend to group divers from the resort into one boat that typically leaves at 9AM. Others: I like that their checkout time is at 2PM, right. Take note that in settling your balance, there is 5% surcharge if paying by credit card. Should have informed us beforehand so I could prepare cash.

I wasn't expecting much but I was still disappointed. Hot and cold showers or having only one plug to charge your phone, I was expecting. What I wasn't expecting was the complete lack of care and attention to detail. The shower was completely covered in limescale so hardly any water came out. There are still signs up for social distancing. There was a dirty pair of pants near the pool that was there when we arrived and was still there when we left, the same with rags and buckets that are just left around the pool area. Trash left in the garden and beach. 3 small dogs that live at the hotel that bark a lot, especially at night and early morning.1 of the dogs pees in the lobby next to the kitchen because no one walks it. Food was terrible, worst pizza I have ever eaten, barely cooked with raw tomato slices on top of thick layer of rubbery cheese, omelette at breakfast was runny and raw in the middle, you have to eat at the hotel because there is nothing near by, but even Filipino food wasn't good, way too salty. At best the food was edible but we didn’t have a good or tasty meal during our stay. There is plenty of staff, mostly on their phone without headphones, smoking around the corner of the terrace or laying in the gazebo by the pool. All I can say is the beds were comfortable enough and the sheets clean. Our rented dive equipment wasn't checked before we left, when we did our own checks, we had a leaking regulator and a leak in a BCD. They are no longer PADI certified.
